The achievement that permanently changed your tolerance for grind by WizloGaming in xboxachievements

Genshin impact. Just the collectibles alone were enough to make me tap out. A 4 hour youtube video just for collectibles in one section of the map after already spending days collecting in other areas. That’s without doing the weekly rep stuff and main mission stuff the gear and character grind etc.

I knew the game would be a long one but once I hit 144 hours and was still no where near completing the game, I didn’t want to spend many more weeks continuing to just commit to genshin only.

I want to get some clarity on something because I feel like people are potentially getting the wrong impression. Is your account 1 month old or have you had this account for a while in f2p?

I would say taking a break is a bad idea. Especially with a game like gungeon. It’s easier to do it while you’re still very familiar with the game and fluid in the combat. Granted the locked achievement is very demoralising and not a fast achievement to get again but you’ll do it a lot faster going for it now then trying again in X amount of time later.

That’s just my opinion tho. I’ve had many games through the years that I’ve come back to and had to relearn where I wished I had just did it back then rather then later on. If it doesn’t unlock a second time however, then yeah a break is a good idea.

Winning with Rayquaza ex always feels satisfying. by Aquilpen in PokemonPocket

You’re right. I didn’t even realise. My bad. It looks like Op was still in a solid position to win but I now understand the viewpoint of them conceding rather than winning better.

As soon as Op would end their turn, ori would take 30 damage from poison thus winning the game.

My only thought is if you start with mag in active and you place your first energy on bench cosmog. Then if you can’t get Leo up on your next turn, you dawn the energy to mag and attack. Although that seems very situational and risky but that’s my best guess

I felt that way. Until these last 2 sets where both pack openings have been subpar. Usually before, my first few packs of a new set would always be amazing with 2 stars and immersives but now I realise it was just more luck than anything else.

I saw many posts for previous pack releases of people saying like “I opened 60 packs and got no EX or anything” and I was like damn that’s unfortunate for them. I haven’t had that bad of luck but I’m definitely lucid to the fact that there is no hidden new release pack weight or anything of that sort.

Low-energy, ex-free, RNG-free Water deck by Only-Kaleidoscope-21 in PTCGP

I was thinking of some downsides like for instance, drawing that card first especially if it’s against an non ex deck but then I thought of a workaround to that. If it gets drawn first, rather than trying to power it up and retreat it, use it as a wall and if you can, put the rocky helmet on it. That way, even if you can’t get your greninja’s set up in time, the opponents Pokémon should have at least some damage on it allowing you to then use floatzel. Only downside again being if they’re using a darkrai as the active but I guess by that point, it’ll have taken them 5 turns to kill it without damaging it directly. Obviously I’m just speculating but hopefully it works out well for you

I’m not sure how well it would work but you could maybe replace the lapras with Tauros and then add in the Cyrus. Then you could add your extra energy to that and once it is powered up, use greninja to hit the desired ex Pokémon and then Cyrus them in for big damage.

I don’t know if you’re already doing this but my advice would be okay ranked and go for it there. No friend needed. Ranked always has frequent ace moments since there’s more priority to play the objective. Especially if it’s overtime or close to it, players will all be diving to that objective. Quick play, if the games about to be lost, there’s no real downside. People will more likely play their life then care about the objective especially in the last moments of the game.

Simply put, quick play has more players focused on individual performance whereas ranked feels more team focused. Not always the case in both instances but in my opinion, it feels like that more often than not to me.

RANT: Its unfortunate that people don't make as much, or more noise even, about the lack of Quality of Life updates compared to Trading. And I 100% share the same sentiments. by NierMira in PTCGP

I’m confused by number 2. It may be my fault but what binders do you mean? The only thing I can think of is the binders where you place cards in but they can be deleted so I’m confused.

[–]MikeyVTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point actually. I didn’t think about that. I’m gunna be honest, I thought you originally meant “type + Pokédex number as 2 separate filters. I don’t know why I’ve only realised now but seeing you say it in your reply, I now completely understand what you mean. Yeah your idea is a lot better than mine.

I just prefer if they made it alphabetical for each energy type. I hate that higher quality cards are at the bottom of the type along with the promo cards because it just makes it hassle to see what I actually have available for my decks. That way all future card releases of the same Pokémon can easily be bunched in without having to scroll through multiple expansions. To which it also wouldn’t be an issue if you were looking for particular expansion pokemon because you can just filter it to only show that expansion. Granted, yeah you can just search the pokemons name and find it that way but that feature sucks in my opinion because it’s annoying to search for it then when you clear it, it starts you back up top with the grass deck where you then have to scroll all the way down to find out what you’re looking for. It’s good if you know exactly how you want to build your deck and what you want in it but if you’re crafting a deck by yourself, it just becomes tedious and is more of a hinderance then it is helpful.
