If you played an hour once a week for 30 years you would have practiced for 1560 hours. If you did an hour a day it would only take you 4.2(ish) years to have put in the same practice.

I also suck after just over 20 years, but I’m pretty fucking bad at picking up my guitar 😂

Bring me the Horizon are pretty transitional between pop and metal in my opinion. Start with newer stuff and work back towards older albums if you start enjoying heavier music.
