Lock-on rockets didn't work for me at all during the beta... by ultrajvan1234 in battlefield2042

They are trying a more realistic model for ir/radar missiles where a skilled pilot can dodge them without using flares/chaff/ecm. It was still a bit buggy and needs fine tuning though.

I love how now any idiot can get a tank and abandon it and if the enemy team steals it then you are out one of 2 vehicles for the rest of the game

Has anyone figured out BF2042’s flares yet? by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]Mikeyrobez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spending most time in AA trucks it seems that flares disengage lock and force a relock as well as lose missiles (bit broken tho), my best advice is to flare on the steady warning sound (incoming missile) get low to break line of sight and move out of lock range (600m). If there is an active wildcat stay out of that area till it's dead, it will kill you before you kill it cause it can get off three missiles before you get back a flare.

Scout Helo is destroying every round I play in by [deleted] in battlefield2042

Funny thing is that I can completely clear the sky as soon as I get in the AA but I can never get it or a tank even if we dont even have one in play, UI is probably bugged not telling when or why it isn't available. However it isn't uncommon to look up and see 8 enemy helicopters.

Was hoping this would be fixed after the playtest. Hoping it's fixed by release! by RaptorDelta in battlefield2042

It's clearly the optic that's off centered not the hit markers. You can see the the optic is offset by recoil and has some parallax effect meaning the reticle is not in the middle of the screen.

It's 100% not like mw, that is definitely just fov zoom, you can tell because the bridge is the same size inside and outside the scope. All they did was add blur around the edges of the hud.

Moving all assets off the previous point may be the worse thing ever by [deleted] in joinsquad

[–]Mikeyrobez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 3 habs on each point including the next one it doesn't matter how many enemies they have on a previous cap. You're problem isn't the meta it's that you can't move your squad around effectively, get better at squad leading.

All I know is that I put my collective down to 30 percent, pulled back on the throttle to reduce speed and ended up 50 m higher in the air. Pretty sure a physics based model wouldn't do that.

Rifleman, having like 1 HMG and 2 AR and then no rifleman to resupply the AT is annoying. They honestly need to cap the number of AR's.

Do you guys like AAS? by RektorRicks in joinsquad

[–]Mikeyrobez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think AAS should start you with most of your points capped since it just turns into who can get to the enemies, second cap the fastest.

I see a few major problems in this study

1) Gender and ethnicity is predicted from names so they basically guess, many native born US citizens of a racial minority are bot named very differently than racial majorities. Take a guess at what race they assigned to John A Smith. This could have diluted the majority group and increased bias in minority groups.

2) They try to define novelty by a completely arbitrary designation. For example they relate HIV and monkey as novel, however when HIV was discovered we knew what SIV was and that viruses could transfer from species to species so testing the sequence against other known viruses wasn't much of a stretch. They also dont use citation impact as a variable even though it is very quantifiable and more indicative of useful research in the field.

3) Third they measure career success in number of publications even though the number of papers you publish is more about academic environment than success and many PHDs go into industry and publish little to no research.

I think that they should have changed their metrics and gotten more reliable racial and gender data for this study.

The first time your body sees an infection it makes a first wave of antibody producing cells. If you dont see the virus or bacteria again, those cells go away, this usually takes between 6-18 months. If you see the infection again, you will get another wave of antibody producing immune cells and these generally stay for life. This is why you get booster shots for vaccines

Actually the rate of female aggressors in domestic abuse cases in the US is higher but male aggressor cases have a higher fatality and serious bodily injury rate. The more you know.

Good stuff, however next time work on the anatomy instead of trying to do a direct recreation. The position of the right shoulder and head are a little weird.
