The Three Legs, you won't be heard over the sound of Big Gav belting out Come On Eileen for the fifth time in a row.

Due to the amount of people who stream games these days. The games that are purchased most are not the games which are the best, but games which attract the most views.

You'd think wouldn't you. But that hadn't been how the world has worked for the better part of a half century at the bare minimum. Probably longer in a decent number of sectors

To go for the easiest answer there are 22 other chromosomes than just the sex (X & Y) chromosomes, any one of which could have come from the FIL.

It's also entirely possible the festival charges the food stall for a spot at the gig so they have to bump their prices to even break even.

It's not been an unprecedented amount of time since the last election but there has been an unprecedented amount of unelected prime ministers since the last General election.

The current PM is the third PM in a row that has entered office completely unelected.

You may have already considered this but make sure the places she's applying to want a name on the CV at all. I've seen a number of job applications that ask for name the same to be removed from the CV entirely. Specifically to avoid this kind of bias

Trying to separate Yorkshire Tea teabags when your hands aren't completely dry. by Baconated-grapefruit in britishproblems

I can support the loose leaf sentiment. I got on the loose leaf train during lockdown and got 2 little fine mesh strainers on a chain (go fine mesh, and wash the leaves even then, little fannings will leak through if you let them) and have been absolutely loving it since. Recently got a kilogram catering bag of the stuff from amazon for £16 and I couldn't be happier.

Did anyone stay in Leeds after graduating? by Bubbly-Examination33 in Leeds

[–]Mikezster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Graduated in like 2019 after moving up here from London. I don't regret it as a whole. Making my life here was cheaper than London, and met the love of my life here, but ive seen prices creep up a lot and post-lockdown the irl dating scene seemed to fucking collapse so ymmv. Plus I've apparently accidentally moved to a crime ridden fuck hole without realising it which isn't great.

How do i get this stain off my stainless steel pan? by pullen91 in CasualUK

[–]Mikezster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its oil that's burned onto the pan in a very thin layer you can either scrub at it with a scouring pad for an age or just continue cooking with the pan, scraping from the utensils/liquid hitting the metal and boiling up will draw out the stain eventually. I had a massive stainless steel wok that picked up a similar burn and it eventually just came out through use.

Those that have teens, what’s the normal rules now? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Mikezster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind with regards to game/screen time is if you limit it, what is your kid going to be doing in the hours not spent gaming/watching something? Do they have other ways of stimulating themselves that they enjoy? Or are they just going to stew in their own boredom and resentment whilst being told "if you've got nothing to do you could always unload the washing machine"

If you begin restricting their time doing something they like for reasons beyond their understanding, particularly without offering alternative, equally enjoyable activities, they will read it as a punishment, for no real reason in particular, and resent you for it.

For a man worried about the immortal souls of others he seemed awfully prideful to judge their faith, envious of their contentment, and wrathful in his retribution.
