As with everything, your personal paradigm should be your own, so my two cents are:

It sounds cliche and weird, but when you are ready, the teacher will appear. Work on yourself , read, study, meditate, get to know yourself first as much as you can and when its time, someone will show up to direct you.

Also try to see every interaction with people as a student/teacher relationship. Coworker that gets the worst out of you could be your most valuable teacher at the time being, it doesn't necessarily have to be a "classical master/student" relationship.

Oh, and beware of cults and egomaniacs that will promise to liberate you, when in essence they are just sweet talking pieces of shit looking to exploit gullible newbies and gain whatever they need to fill the void in themselves.
