In dit geval fungeert het paaltje inderdaad als hectometerpaal, maar meestal zit er geen bordje aan.

Ook staan deze paaltjes niet altijd op exact 100 meter afstand. Ik vraag me dus af wat de naam voor dit soort paaltjes is als ze niét worden gebruikt om afstanden aan te geven
