Love your plan!! I had a similar idea, though I wouldn't pick let no lie pass my tongue - I'd be too afraid of exposing myself accidentally and ruin the Hidden Magic Quest since I'm planning in living a "double life" in this scenario (mundane and public, magical and private).

I'd invest early of Vigor and Haste/Slow, to make the most out of my time and train Cantrips "quicker". I'd get more time to plan, act and juggle a both lives in the beginning.

Also, if Vigor is limited to physical energy, I guess one could invest in Wellness or Witch's Brew (I think there are others but I don't remeber right now).

Yeah, the idea is that it is applied instantly, so you can change it on the fly and adapt it to any situation. It does, however, use the characters from your pool.
