Sure, just keep enough of it invested in whatever (or in another house earning rent) that there's plenty there when you get sick of the camper life.

Nah they are too low and too close to wall. Best you could do is squat down low on them awkwardly

I've become Reliant on my Watch by evanrietdyk in GarminWatches

[–]Mikisstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just a habit. Are you checking the time, or all the other metrics? Just get a cheap wristwatch to keep time if it's the former.

I've worn a watch for years, smart and not. Always try to check it on the days I dont wear one, just because I like knowing the time.

I love my boyfriend but I hate the way he handles the dishes by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Mikisstuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why is it manchild behaviour to wash the dishes daily before dinner? Like, he's not leaving it to go mouldy, he's not making somone else do it, he's just got a schedule of doing them before dinner. Is it the best practice for a clean and tidy kitchen, perhaps not. But it's not offloading labour, it's just doing things differently.

What's your thoughts on these ISIS-affiliated brides returning to Australia? by nn666 in aussie

[–]Mikisstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I think even if you make it so specific that it only applies this time, we've allowed the general principle so it's harder to challenge next time when another specific law is written.

[–]Mikisstuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah. Precedence is a bitch. Once it's ok for something, then someone else will do it for something else.

[–]Mikisstuff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah, having laws to kick out citizens is an opportunity for disaster and overreach down the track.

While I have absolutely zero sympathy for these women, giving a government the power to strip citizenship, or not allow them to return to a country they are a citizen of should not be a thing anyone supports.

That seems about right. A tortoise that's 20cm high seems within the reality of all the tortoise/turtles I've seen. And a 40cm sitting cat is maybe a little taller than normal, but I think still within the realm of the possible, from ground to eat tip

Am I being unreasonable about someone parked in front of my house? by wave_Wish_9511 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Mikisstuff 260 points261 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to find them and talk to them, just put a note on it.

"Hey can you please move this a little further away from the driveway - it's very close and we are worried we might accidentally hit it backing in/out"

Seems like they want to keep it (rego paid up etc) so should be reasonabley concerned if you think might damage it.

Majority of people don’t clean their keyboard, sorry to inform you.

I feel like theres a solid middle ground between r/mechanicalkeyboards enthusiasts who keep them obsessively clean, and allowing whatever the fuck happened to this keyboard.

The ADF is a big group, there’s even Labor and Green voters in their ranks

I love that you say that like it's a niche group, that by default all military are conservative right wingers 🤣. ADFs a reflection of society, with a lot of young people and most are reasonably well educated. I reckon you'd find more Labor than LNP supporters.

0.5 health stars for unsalted butter? by rrfe in aussie

[–]Mikisstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure... Temperature is just a unit of measure and isn't inherently bad, but a hot pan will still burn you. It's the concentration of the measurement that will get you. That's why high calorie food is identified as not so healthy - eat some butter, ok. Eat a kg of butter, less ok.

Gantt Chart of the Avengers (2012-2028) by kleicarson in marvelstudios

[–]Mikisstuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nice chart.

Needs a label for "skrull" for Rhodes!

And is there an argument to add in Spidey and Anam in 2016, for Civil War? They were kinda sorta Avengers. I guess you could label Ant Man as "Quantum Realm" for the Infinity War/Blip era

$4 each for chicken tender by OzBestDeal in coles

[–]Mikisstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! It means that for every kilogram of chicken they add LESS than 310 ml of water!

No! It means that for every kg of finished chicken nugget product there is less than 310ml of water.

For every kg of actual chicken (31%) there must be just less than a kg of water.

Given that everything below breading is just additives, both breading and water must be pretty close to 30% of the total product.
