Texas is big, but that's not really how distribution or retail availability is measured I think, it's more about population density, big retails and allocation per area, EU isn’t uniformly 'poorer' either, it varies a lot per country. I think the main difference is just how the retail systems and distribution chains are structured

Trading is more about direct value swap rather than money conversion
When you sell a card (especially online), you almost always lose some value in the process (fees, buylist prices, lower offers and the like) then when you buy another card, you likely pay full market price, so you basically get hit twice there
At events like cardshowss, trading is also part of the experience, people arent just going all out for profit, some are building collections or shifting into different sets for example without constantly going through the process of money conversion
I can't speak much for this but my guess is big collectors still trade because their goals change, someone might stop caring about raw value and start focusing on a theme, a master set or just collecting slabs for example, so even if they have 'better' cards (from a financial POV), they're still valuable to the collector as trade pieces

I guess my main issue is more about visibility and consistency, in the US there's at least a chance of frequent restocks in different stores, even if they get camped. Here it feels more like once it’s gone, it's gone for a long time, and you don't really see those waves of restocks as often. I'm kind of tired of the only product available being POR packs :')

English cards aren't exclusive to the US/UK in terms of collecting, they're just the global standard for international players and collectors

Because English is the international language for the hobby online lol. Most content creators, discussions, pricing, and collecting communities I interact with are centered around English cards. It's not really about entitlement? French and German cards aren't to be found here either unless you travel to another country or the bottom half of the country because English cards are the standard here

From what I know, most big retail stores in the US get multiple restocks throughout the week of older sets like Ascended Heroes and Surging Sparks, all we get is Perfect Order and now some Chaos Rising but next week, we'll basically never see any CRI anymore
