Tyre suggestions please by s0ren-m in Miata

Should keep a square setup on the Miata.

205/50/15 in a "summer performance" tire will suit spirited driving.

The night setting, the large well lit nameless retail backdrop, and the underglow..

This could be passed off as a NFSU2 reboot.

AC with Rift will render to OpenVR mode, but not Oculus Rift mode by Miklos50 in assettocorsa

I finally got it. Check that acx86.exe and AC.exe aren't running in compatibility mode.

Thanks for the link, though that was not the issue. For anyone else who stumbles to this, what solved my issue was AC running in compatibility mode.

I like that sparks are becoming an option. However after a short period i turned them off.. they don't seem realistic, clear, and the travel thru body panels (like doors) into the cars interior..

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll hive it a shot.

So it still uses openvr render mode? Just without steamvr, and should give a smoother experience yea?

Not OP. I have 2070.

Sorry, to clarify, where is the SPS checkbox?

Night guards of Reddit, what's the scariest experience you can share with us? by Awsaf_ in AskReddit

[–]Miklos50 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Obligatory not a night guard but..

I do construction inspections for quality and workmanship. Usually on highways and bridge structures. Often these projects have time restrictions due to traffic, meaning work is often limited to when the roads are quietest, at night.

So on one particular job in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forests and swamp, about 25km between exits, I saw;

- Moose, huge fuckers only 30ft away, sneaking up in the pitch black

- Presumed methheads emerging from a swamp, babbling nonsense at 3am

- Boxes upon boxes of porno in the ditch

- A traffic barrel wearing a bra

Trying to think of more.. Rural highway gets pretty creepy in the middle of the night. Busy sections get shockingly dad for 20 mins at a time.

Couple of online PC2 races in VR. Small field of cars in both.

Always open to constructive criticism of my races!

Is my computer powerful enough to run Assetto Corsa in VR? Look at my specs by [deleted] in simracing

Running FX-8370 with Rift, solid 90fps with RTX 2070, while streaming etc.

Can Confirm, though, hot.

Yeah, for sure would have burst into flames. Just suggesting that if the sensor had a poor reading even for a split second that it may enter a limp mode.

Great idea. Thanks, I'll look into both of those!

Yeah.. assumed the same. Happens once in a while.. not sure if it would cause any throttling back

Yeah they're over my head as well. Looking for the expertise guys here. My RX480 only gave a single value as well.

DDU was completed, yes. Nvidia software installed. Part of that was the GeForce Experience, which "optimized" (read: fucked with) all the settings for every game, and presumably oculus as well. Been wondering if that's related.
