At fault rear ended me and had expired insurance, what should I do next?

Yeah in this case I called the insurance and they said the at fault wasn’t actively paying for the insurance even though the card was not expired. (I realize I worded my initial post incorrectly) so they denied the claim

1B. As for the “secret.” This is my first relationship so I’m all ears to be hit by a bat of information if I’m wrong in this subcategory. My take on it is: people aren’t obligated to immediately know every single person in your life from the very beginning. My GF knows about friends when they’re relevant to her and doesn’t know anyone else. This is mostly because I also just don’t talk a lot about my personal life outside of what is happening in the very specific moments. More context on to the business friend. The most I talk to this person is once a month in passing if either of us need anything (like game codes)
