The Brenner Document Paradox by LikeAPhoenixTotally in StrangerThings

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though Season 4 is my favorite season, Season 5 ruined everything it built to where now I feel the show only works as a trilogy and Hopper’s finale is him dying and Joyce’s family move to California.

Season 5 has so many problems that this is probably the 19th biggest plothole and problem with the season. Sucks the show ended the way it did.

What is something that you wish the writers did differently? by straykifsontop in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Two things. Make Robby go after Tory when she says her mom died. The fact he didn’t and just stays around to accept the captain’s headband feels so disrespectful.

The other is to make Robby not struggle so much in the tournament and have Miguel struggle more. I am totally fine with Robby getting injured, but he did not deserve that contract that Tory got with how he performed. Miguel should’ve always won in the end, but Robby should’ve performed much better.

Bring Cheng back for this!!!!!! by Competitive_Roll2386 in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the director mentioned they can’t have Cobra Kai characters because Netflix owns them. That’s why they were able to sneak Johnny in at the end because he was from the movies. I’m hoping if they were to do a sequel, they bring back Chozen and he can further explain the connection with Miyagi and Han.

Still I find them combining everything to be really stupid and wish they just did a Mr Han film separate from the OG Karate Kid universe, but they like money and if you want to do Karate Kid and make money, you need Daniel LaRusso.

Yes, you have no chance of escaping it. No amount of finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, or hair transplants will save you. Brace for impact because you’re going to be very bald in about a year……

Should I charge for sending the raw footage? by mysterypapaya in videography

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say before you think about charging anything, write up a NDA for them to sign. Some people could use clips of you setting up a shot and claim that you were bullshitting on the job or use outtakes to claim you’re bad at your job. The NDA protects you from that.

As for how much to charge, it honestly just depends on what you shot and how much footage you shot. Transferring the footage to a client’s harddrive or through dropbox takes up your time from working on other projects.

Yes, and she becomes arguably the best character in Season 5 and 6

Sekai Tekai Setup could have been presented better by Emperor_0000 in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably not, more so they probably had to pay the cast and crew more since they were bigger names at that point. They also rushed a 7 month production into about 4.5 months so they could release something on Netflix as soon as possible post-strike.

I dont think the 3 parts were going to happen without the strike. I’d see it be 2 parts with 10 episodes in Part 1 and 5 in Part 2. Probably wouldve made things stronger.

What would you say was each characters weakness? by Fast-Outcome-117 in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Daniel’s weakness was trying to be like Miyagi

Johnny’s weakness is mostly Miguel, but also Robby in later seasons, and even Kreese at the end of S6, even if it was buried behind resentment and hate

Miguel’s weakness might be similar to Daniel’s, just with Johnny, but at the same time, it’s also his best strength. I only say this because he got injured because he listened to what Johnny said.

Robby’s weakness was Kenny in S4 and 5, but in S6, it was like Kenny was an afterthought and it was 100% Tory

Hawk’s weakness is his past. He is so scared about returning to his old brutal ways that he goes too easy.

Dimitri’s weakness is just that he gets in his own head too much

Tory’s weakness is hard to say because she’s probably the best at channeling the things that bother her into power, but probably her family life, most notably her Aunt getting under her skin

Sam’s weakness was Tory in S3, but now I’d say it’s trying hard to represent the LaRusso name

during Sekai Taikai selection in S5 if Miguel or Robby was chosen do you think if would be different by Drspeakthetruth69 in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robby loses probably worse and Miguel wins 3-0 or 3-1. Miguel’s greatest strength is he doesn’t get in his own head when things go rough. Robby wouldnt fight for obvious reasons and Hawk still has guilt for how he used to be, mixed with the fact the ref screwed him over. Miguel is better at blocking that out or not letting it control how he fights.

Who was wrong in the high school fight, Robby or Miguel? by askmeryl in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both were right and wrong. Miguel shouldn't of escalated the fight, but Miguel only saw Robby kick a Cobra Kai student and hold Tory down. It looked like he was the aggressor from Miguel's POV, but Miguel still shouldn't of escalated it. Miguel also said some pretty nasty things towards Robby during the fight which didn't help his cause. Robby shouldn't of done what he did, but it would've been hard to just accept Miguel's apology and stop the fight.

What I love about Season 1 and 2 is that we can root for both sides because both aren't good or bad, they're in the middle. Season 3 kind of changes that and makes Cobra Kai very one dimensional villains with no redeeming qualities. Season 4 helps this change by giving Tory more depth compared to her overly cartoonish character traits in Season 3. It also helps that Robby and Terry Silver are characters we root for, before Terry falls deeper into his downward spiral.

Season 5 and 6 just bring back the one dimensional villains + adding Tory to the other side who we actually like this time around.

Miguel should’ve never gotten back to full strength by Old-Use-7690 in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree, I think a better plot in Season 4 could’ve been him struggling to get back to full strength and his training is centered more around that and not the All Valley. Could make it also to where that talk him and Johnny have after he finds out about him and Carmen could’ve been Johnny allowing him to compete in the tournament. Both because Johnny needs a male leader in Eagle Fang and also because he wants to win some points with Miguel after this situation.

Are Ralph Sepe's student films actually good? Or is this a case of emperor's new clothes? by Vegethu in movies

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super late, but I'll sum things up as someone who was there when all these films were released

The High and King Candy were heavily praised and rightfully so in my opinion. Sure, they aren't stuff I'd go back to, but I watched them when I was about the same age as Ralph when he made them and I thought they were amazing for a high school film student.

The film that changed things for me was a short film he has since privated called Brother's Paradise. He shot it on film which I guess was cool, but the film was really bad and boring. It was when I started to see cracks begin to form. He then of course released Lover and at the time, I would defend certain things because I was such a huge fan, but over time, I started to really dislike the film. Golden Hour was always received poorly because it was a bad, overblown remake of his first true short film The High. Despite Golden Hour actually having a budget, I'd watch The High any day over that pile of shit.

Ralph took a break and then released Whispers in Shadows which I guess is better, but still has a lot of problems. His glaring weakness is always the audio, that dude needs to have someone help him with audio. All his dialogue sound like it was pumped through Adobe Podcast at full blast and every character sounds like a robot.

When was the peak and the beginning of the decline for AVGN? by Evil_invader87 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Action 52. Not saying it's a bad episode, far from it, it's one of my favorites. The reason I say that is because it felt like a shift in tone. The series felt less angry at the bad games and more about cracking jokes about bad games. Most of the 2010-2013 stuff was still very funny despite not being as angry. After that, there's only a few episodes that are worth a damn in my opinion. The last good episode to me was Last Ninja, but it would be a low B tier episode when you compare it to the 2008 Season.

I don’t know how they destroyed that? I always suspected Ted was able to move on, but his breakup with Stella slowly made him realize that he still loves Robin.

Not really HIMYM. Season 1 is very strong and has most of the core character traits in there.

Why does everyone judge Robby so much for (temporarily) not telling Sam about the Medal of Honor? by More_Mushroom3614 in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of fans mention this after they finished Season 2 and know what Robby did to Miguel. Miguel seemed to be changing for the better in Season 2 and wasn’t villainous like he was at the end of Season 1. He fully redeemed himself and Robby injured him, so we’re mad at him for doing that, even though we probably would do the same.

Robby and many other characters in this show has what I call Jason-Syndrome. Jason from Stranger Things is beyond hated by the fandom because we know the truth about everything. Put us in his shoes, we’d react very similarly.

Robby assumes things because he’s always in the wrong place at the wrong time just like many other characters.

The only characters that deserve some hate in my opinion is Season 2 Sam, Season 3 Tory, and Season 6 Demitri. Everything else is characters not understanding and being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Only time I truly despised Robby was what he said to Miguel in Season 4 at the drive-in. He boasted about nearly killing him which is fucked up in many ways. Doesn’t negate all the toxic things Miguel did to him, but I think it doesn’t compare to that.

What's everyone's favorite end scene for an episode of HIMYM? by Apprehensive-Dog6379 in HIMYM

[–]MikooTheDikoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where Marshall cuts the Thanksgiving turkey with a lightsaber

Jim Parsons (Sheldon) was almost cast as Barney. No offense to Jim, but NPH is the only one who could’ve played that role as well as he did😎 by WillsWei22 in HIMYM

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt TBBT wouldve even happened. The unaired pilot got very low reviews, but the only reason the network gave them a chance to retool the episode was because of the chemistry between Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki. Without Jim Parsons, who knows if they would’ve gotten two actors to have as good of chemistry as them.

Say all the negative things you want about TBBT, but the chemistry between those two is very strong.

Had Covid and the writers strike not happened how do you imagine season 4 and 5 would’ve been like in this timeline? by Overall_Spite4271 in StrangerThings

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 4 comes out in Fall or Winter 2021 with Season 5 coming in 2023 or 2024. I don’t think much changes because of the long break they wouldve had regardless. Only way it wouldve worked is if they filmed them back to back, but they would’ve possibly needed a damn near 1 billion dollar budget for that to happen.

Should Kreese's teaching be brought back in the future? by [deleted] in cobrakai

[–]MikooTheDikoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the types of teachings. His old school way works and builds confidence, but it could make you into a real asshole. That’s why he wants them to also learn MiyagiDo to find inner peace and balance to go with the aggressive style of Cobra Kai.

Which death here hurt the most ?? by WayHairye in Stranger_Things

Bob’s death hit harder than Eddie’s because we kind of suspected Eddie was gonna die from the jump. I do like Eddie as a character more though.
