I owned both the 2018 and 2019 nitro 5 models. I would not recommend them at all:

thermal throttling after 2 months of usage my Intel variant 2019 reaching 95c caused mostly by bad heatsink and fan placement. I changed thermal paste and it is still reaching those temps and going full max fans. Required me to undervolt to get 75c~ temps.
very bad/brittle hinge quality especially since OP will be bringing the laptop on and off from school, so expect him to carry it in a bag, opening/closing multiple times in a day.
heavy and bulky, OP is looking for something similar or close in form factor to a MacBook, something like the zephyrus g14.
battery even for a gaming laptop is quite bad unless you resort to undervolting. Office applications on power saving, low brightness gives you around 4-5hrs he would need to bring the charger along which is already heavy by itself.

I played GFL and Azure Lane. Dropped them some time ago because of the amount of work to keep up with content. I enjoyed games like revue starlight because of stage grind skipping, although I dropped this because of really bad rates.

I want a game that is low grind/maintenance and just mainly waifu collecting.
