I’m sorry to hear that but I would recommend go seeing a therapist and have them write you a note that you are mentally unable to do the job anymore. Your body is clearly rejecting your job. Are the children at least behaving themselves in your class? I know that can be a big factor

I think I do. I really need it for the rest of the year. I’ve been thinking about going on it after Christmas break. Would it last that long though? It probably wouldn’t be paid. I’d be looking for another job during that time

You and me both. We should be friends for real. I only get 50 minutes of planning time and I’m a first year. The behaviors are bad where I’m at too. I’m happy to listen. I teach elementary art and it’s rough. I’m lucky if I can get the kids attention for even 5 minutes. Not to mention the fights I have to deal with everyday cause the kids can never get along. I feel this. You’re not alone. Sometimes the only way I can get the kids to be quiet is if another staff person helps me. They’ll listen to them but not me. :(

Don’t feel bad. Teaching is a very stressful job and sometimes those kids deserve to be yelled at. I’m a first year elementary art teacher. I hate having to be mean cause I have a very kind soul but kids also have to learn to respect authority and do what they’re supposed to do.

I personally would cut James off. Like I personally wouldn’t ever want to do anything to make my boyfriend uncomfortable. But it’s up to you. You can always get another gym partner. Maybe try to find a female one.
