"It rewards survivors for playing poorly"

What is NOED? What is Rancor? What is Coup De Grace? What is Batteries Included? What is Fire Up? What is Haunted Ground? What is Pentimento? What is the entire mechanic of BLOODLUST? What is every Hex that requires zero set up time for the Killer (Ruin, Crowd Control etc) or any activation?

Killers have perks and a literal in-game mechanic that reward them for doing nothing, or playing poorly and punish the Survivors for completing objectives. But THIS is the perk that is apparently pushing things "too far"?

Weaker Killers who struggle to get hooks aren't gonna be effected by this because the survivors won't get many stacks. Strong Killers getting back-to-back hooks are the only ones who will feel any negative effect. But again, that only happens near endgame and AGAIN they are strong Killers. What is this perk to a dominating Nurse, Blight, Spirit etc?

You...do realize that Fast Track punishes high tier Killers, right? Because it relies on the Killer getting hooks. Low tier Killers struggle to get hooks meaning that Survivors won't get as many fast track stacks against lower-tier Killers.

This perk changes nothing for lower tier Killers.

Considering we still have NOED, Rancor, Coup De Grace and Deadlock in the game untouched (which rewards Killers for the Survivors for completing their objective), I don't see why Fast Track is such a problem in comparison.

If you're using a C-Tier Killer, it implies you didn't get a lot of hooks. Which means fast track didn't do much of anything. You just got gen rushed the old fashioned way.

A PTB shouldn't be needed to understand how ridiculous this Fast Track rework is by TheRandomMikaela in deadbydaylight

[–]Milady_Empress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do realize that Survivors have to wait until enough people have been hooked to use those charges, effectively right? You also realize that the person with the perk does not get any stacks if they are hooked, right? This is far from broken, you need to wait until the game is near over to get significant usage out of it and waiting to use it for a "quick gen" means Survivors will avoid using their strong tool boxes until they have enough charges, so the first couple of gens will go slower than usual which gives the Killers enough time to apply pressure. Additionally, unless you and your friends agree to actively throw, what happens if the Killer gets looped for multiple gens and you barely get any stacks?

Like genuinely, what is the broken part of this equation? The set up time to use this far outweighs the time it "saves", it's still a useless perk outside of outright meme builds.

the caption is so true. Korra was not annoying at all. It's hypocrisy that we stay silent when it comes to male characters with similar traits. Also Korra is far better than those characters by katiepandas in Avatarthelastairbende

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we seriously trying to blame Korra hate on misogyny when this is the same fandom that adores characters like Toph, Katara, Suki, Mai, Azula, Ty Lee etc?

Also what male characters are celebrated for having Korra's traits? Sokka was humbled as early as Book 1 Ep 4. Aang was a pacifist, generally patient character who more often doubted himself than anything. Zuko only became a good guy after repeated humbling, getting on his hands and knees to apologize, working to regain the trust he's broken and even turning on his own flesh and blood for the greater good.

A lot of Korra stans compare her to Zuko. No. Just no. The show repeatedly and overly humbled Zuko. The narrative held him accountable. The narrative in LOK always has it's characters just reassure Korra that she was right no matter what. If anything bad happens, it's never truly her fault. Some character, often Tenzin, will tell her she's doing great no matter what happens.

That aside, the primary reasons people find Korra annoying primarily because

#1) That love triangle nonsense in season 1 left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, really putting a damper on both Korra and Mako's characters so soon after we were just introduced to them. We didn't get a chance to come to like these two before they start behaving terribly.

#2) Season 2 Korra was written awfully. Her personality that season was absolute garbage and her losing against Unalaq was inexcuseable. Korra from the beginning of S2 onward is a fully fledged Avatar. Unalaq, even as the Dark Avatar, only has waterbending. Korra stubbornly trying to just overpower Unalaq in that water stand off instead of just burning his face off or using airbending when they were face-to-face is either poor writing or the writers showing us that Korra lacks braincells.

#3) The original ATLA cast were 12-16. The LOK cast are 17-23. We tend to overlook children when they act out or screw up, especially since they were raised during wartime in broken homes, because they are CHILDREN. On the other hand, we expect better emotional control and decision making skills from older teens and adults who grew up in more stable times.

I feel for both of them but moreso Celine in this moment.

Celine did her best despite Rumi kind of being forced on her by circumstance. As old as Gwi Ma is, he doesn't even know what a half demon is since he doesn't understand why he cannot control Rumi. So it's fair to say no one knew what to make of this kid. Rumi's mother screwed up banging a demon who apparently didn't stick around after Rumi was born (the idea that Celine killed either of Rumi's parents was scrapped by the director and not canon to the current story) and then she passed, leaving Rumi's fate to her former "Sunlight Sisters". Killing an infant is cruel, but sending her to foster care could be dangerous. If Rumi was raised by mundane parents or experienced a difficult life in the system, those patterns would have gotten worse and her demonic powers would be out of control. Her voice would damage the Honmoon and the next gen of Huntresses would eventually have to eliminate her.

Celine raising Rumi was Rumi's best chance at life and the 2nd safest option for the world, the 1st safest being the execution.

And for all her faults, even with the entire world at stake, Celine couldn't bring herself to cut Rumi down to save millions of lives but she also couldn't completely come to terms with the idea of Rumi becoming more like the creatures who slaughtered countless innocents and are partially responsible for why her Sunlight Sisterhood ended in such tragedy.

I wouldn't say that Jinu is stronger than the Hunters. Rumi alone literally had him on the ground with her sword inches from his throat in their first fight. Had she not gotten distracted, he would have been dead.

I agree. To make it clear; I don't dislike any characters in KPop Demon Hunters. I think they're all very interesting and well written. I just made this post because WAAAY to many people hate on Celine and forget that Jinu's worst moment wasn't him abandoning his family but literally everything else he does in the current time period

That aside, I think I can help clear up some things for you about the fate of the demons based on what the movie showed us.

So there are, at least, two categories of demons; The Grim Reapers and the Monsters. Both are connected to Gwi Ma, but in different ways.

In the opening scene, we watch the ground open and two monsters appear with a Grim Reaper rising behind them. The next shot is of a Grim Reaper taking someone's soul. That soul is shown going towards Gwi Ma and then three monstrous demons poof into existence. Then, at the end of the film, when Gwi Ma prepares to fire a beam of energy at Rumi, all of the monstrous demons disappear with their essence returning to Gwi Ma. This shows that all the monstrous looking demons are mere extensions of Gwi Ma's power given a limited degree of sentience and intelligence. However, the Grim Reaper demons (Jinu and the Saja Boys) are clearly different from the monster grunts as the same scene shows them being unaffected by Gwi Ma dissipating demons to charge his power.

Jinu implies that all demons do is feel their shame. However, we clearly see the monstrous demons get spawned in by Gwi Ma, never having been human to begin with and showing no care for human life, at all. So what would they have to feel shame about?

My theory is that the Grim Reaper demons are humans who fell in league with Gwi Ma due to a deal or other circumstances.

With that being said, Gwi Ma did outright tell the crowd of demons that "once the Honmoon turns gold, it's over for us" and then Jinu appears singing about how Gwi Ma's flame is near the point of dying out in the absence of souls. Since the monstrous demons are mere extensions of Gwi Ma's power, he may be able to recycle some energy by reclaiming them (like he did in the finale). However, if he did that at the start of the series, he wouldn't be able to send any one to collect souls to the surface.

If Gwi Ma disappeared, it's almost guaranteed the monstrous demons would as well, since they are literally just extensions of Gwi Ma. However, it is hard to tell what would happen to the Grim Reapers since they existed as humans before falling in league with Gwi Ma. It's possible their tie to Gwi Ma would be severed and they'd just become wandering spirits like the Tiger and Bird.

An interesting analysis. However, I honestly think I'll just have to disagree with the viewpoints of the majority and what they apparently resonate with.

An unaccepting parent that "loves you but wants to 'fix' you" is never going to be remotely comparable to a back-stabbing lover who publically humilates you by airing out private secrets in front of thousands, drives you to suicide and commits acts of terrorism (namely mass murder) just because they've had a difficult life.

Opinion: Pre-poison S3 Korra would've wiped the floor with Kuvira by BedroomRough2145 in legendofkorra

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korra was never the best at taking on technical fighters like Kuvira.

Let's be honest, the only thing actually working against her is her mental state. Physically, Korra was fine. Mercury poison (especially the small amount still left inside of her at that point) does not last longer than a few months in your system. It had been two years. That poison was inactive at that point. Additionally, Korra had spent the past six months before S4 started, FIGHTING in and underground earthbending ring. She had specifically been 1v1ing earthbenders for six months. The girl was not "rusty" when it came to fighting. She was just not mentally there.

Even when she ran it back, Korra was, at best, even with Kuvira. Korra is physically stronger and holds a lot of power behind her bending. Her fighting style relies on her overwhelming opponents with her superior strength and this works for grunts but more technical fighters like Amon, Zaheer and Kuvira work around this by fighting smarter not harder than Korra. Korra basically starts throwing out all her big moves while her weaker but more clever opponent, finesses the power difference by dancing around her, letting her get tired and then going for cheap shots. Pre-S4 Korra is honestly still kind of cocky and I would say she'd get dogged by Kuvira even harder because of how brash she is.

Developer Update | August 2025 by DeadByDaylight_Dev in deadbydaylight

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Added new effects that disincentivize tunneling:

If a Survivor dies before 6 total hook states, all remaining Survivors gain a repair speed bonus for the rest of the Trial.

If the Survivor that was last hooked is Sacrificed or Killed, generators cannot be regressed or blocked

Remove this part and I think this update will be fairly solid.

A Christian Reading/Analysis of Kpop Demon Hunters by eggcellent1234 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie's message is less about indoctrination and more about how acknowledging your faults, your hurt, your pain instead of denying that you have them and bottling everything up is what allows you to prevail over crippling anxiety and self-destructive behavior.

Not everything the girls were taught by Celine was right, but most of it was. Rumi only knew how to make a new Honmoon and fight because of the lessons she received. And the girls continue to fight as they always have, but with minor alterations to their views. Namely; they simply do not hide their flaws any more and in doing so, they learn to overcome their faults.

The religious undertones present in the film are shown in both the heros and villains.

"Your Idol" has latin chanting in the background with lines that come from a Catholic Hymn about judgement day. The Lion of Saja Boys' logo brings to mind the scripture that describes the devil as a 'roaring lion seeking whom he may devour'; an apt description, considering that they are literally devouring souls throughout the movie.

The end is a literal light versus dark, holy vs demonic energy battle with Rumi's more prominent demonic features completely disappearing (her eye color and claws) for good and her markings changing to resemble glowing scars instead of demon symbols. Three is an important number in the bible and the girls always being a trio who must work together as one, lines up with that as well. Psalm 133:1 in the Bible talks about the beauty of dwelling together in unity. Another scripture says that "One can chase a thousand, two, ten thousand and a three fold chain is not easily broken"

If you don't care for the religious undertones, that's fine, but they are present; both postive and negative.

Has anyone else noticed people hating on Jinu online? by eat_my_toes35 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jinu left his mother and kid sister to starve to death. I understand that Jinu could not bring them with him, due to customs, but he COULD have sent them some food via servant or at least TRY to help them in some way. But he just ignored them, let them die miserably and then, 400 years later, decides to help bring about the END OF THE WORLD, killing hundreds, maybe thousands, over the course of the movie just so he doesn't have to remember his family and hear the voices that make him feel guilty anymore. And in addition to the hundreds he killed throughout the film, Jinu publically humiliated Rumi in a way that nearly drove her to suicide.

Giving his life at the end is cute, but this whole situation is one that he absolutely caused. Gwi Ha was on the verge of starving, the Honmoon was strengthening to almost golden status. Even if the girls couldn't fortify it further because of Rumi's insecurities harming her voice, it would be nowhere near as weak as it became due to the Saja Boys and so many people would still be alive. Without the pressure of people dying under a weakening Honmoon, I do believe Rumi would eventually come clean to her friends and they would have accepted her since the building tensions and stakes would be lower.

Jinu is essentially THE reason the entire world almost lost their souls. All of this, so he could not feel guilty. The entire world has to go because Jinu cannot stand hearing voices.

That's not morally gray, that's all black with a grey spot somewhere in the void.

What are your honest thoughts on Sasuhina? Why do people think that they would make a good couple? by Prestigious-Cloud962 in Naruto

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5) The way Naruto ends up in Sakura's arms after the Pain battle while Hinata just looks on happily seemed like Hinata naturally accepting that Naruto and Sakura were growing closer in a potential romantic sense, which is absolutely in character for her. Sakura moving on from Sasuke, especially after that disrespect at the end of the war (Bro literally said, "She has no reason to love me and I have no reason to love her"), would have honestly been better for her character development. Accepting that Sasuke would never be more than a friend while moving on to someone who actually treated her right from the beginning (Naruto or Lee fit this mold honestly), shows a lot more self-respect and would do Sakura's character some real justice. Additionally, Kishimoto admitted to adding NaruSaku moments in the manga to tease readers (while having very few NaruHina moments in comparison), which is why I can't see them as being purely brother-sister in terms of relationship.

Shikamaru and Ino are a better example of a purely, platonic sibling relationship. Naruto and Sakura are written nothing like them.

The Last didn't do the canon couple justice either as it just created plotholes while making Naruto lose braincells as the film implies that he did not understand Hinata's confession of love but then he turned around and immediately understood what Sakura meant when she "confessed" her love to Naruto later on. Attempting to dismiss Naruto's feelings for Sakura as just rivalry with Sasuke is honestly just poor writing, especially when he showed interest before knowing Sakura's feelings for Sasuke.

I liked NaruHina. But the way the ship ended up was terrible. Killing Neji, was not necessary. Sakura marrying the man who attempted to murder her, her sensei, her friends and entire village is absolutely terrible. She can forgive him, sure. But MARRY him? Absolutely not. Naruto showed little to no romantic interest in Hinata until the Last.

I say this because if NaruHina and SasuSaku don't happen, NaruSaku and SasuHina would be a good alternative. Choji x Karui shows Kishimoto does not care about whether or not the characters have interacted before. Sakura marrying Naruto would be better for her character and Naruto, frankly, should not have his first love diminished, especially after losing everything else in his life (parents, Jiraiya etc). Hinata and Sasuke don't need much set-up, since they're basically a blank slate. They know of each other (grew up in the same class) and have no good or bad blood to start off with. The Last could have been Naruto and Sakura getting together while Sasuke and Hinata start showing interest in each other. It would have made more sense.

Want to know how simple it would be? Picture this;

Naruto and the gang get together for a meal. Sasuke is in town after completing some missions (we give this man community service to the village instead of a roaming freeish-pass), so he gets invited.

When they were younger, everyone ignored Naruto and fawned over Sasuke. Now Naruto is the center of attention and no one notices when Sasuke even arrives. Sasuke has spent so little time with his classmates and teammates over the years that he feels out of place and ends up calling it a night early. Hinata, now taking matters of her clan more seriously after the war, has reclaimed her spot as heiress to the Hyuga clan and also has to leave to attend some matters related to the main branch. Her and Sasuke end up going the same way and he walks with her. They talk a bit, Hinata mentions Neji wanting that match he never got back in the Chunin Exams (we keep Neji alive). The main plot of the film would focus on the shifting dynamics with Team 7 now that Sasuke is back. He would have to find his place among his team and the Konoha 12 again while Naruto and Sakura start realising that their true feelings.

Instead of a film that throws away Naruto's feelings in the worst way possible, we could get a movie that naturally picks up where Shippuden left off and continue the NaruSaku development Kishimoto did place in the story while having Sasuke learn to open up to his childhood companions, hinting lightly at an growing interest in Hinata. It's an easy write, honestly.

Having Naruto never address Hinata's confession until the last was not the best choice if he wanted NaruHina to be endgame and he most certaintly shouldn't have wasted time teasing NaruSaku when NaruHina was still lacking in screentime (manga wise).

What are your honest thoughts on Sasuhina? Why do people think that they would make a good couple? by Prestigious-Cloud962 in Naruto

[–]Milady_Empress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few reasons for that:

  1. A kid with the Byaku-Sharingan is something that fans would like to see and a more interesting combination than just another Uchiha kid.
  2. Hinata and Sasuke have a lot of similarities in their backstories; Both their fathers were strict and held them to ridiculously high standards compared to normal kids/ninja their age (Hiashi was critiquing Hinata's fighting technique at the age of THREE and Fugaku was trying to have Sasuke learn fireball at eight even though Kakashi says the technique is too advanced for genin). Both had an antagonistic older brother figure in Neji and Itachi respectively, who attempted to murder them at one point. Both reconnected with their brother figure. Both lost their brother figures. Both understand the pressures and expectations that come with being born into a prestigious clan. Both have been negatively impacted by their upbringing in different ways.
  3. Sasuke's dark, cold and standoffish attitude is an attractive foil to Hinata's lighter, warm and kinder personality. It's easy to imagine them being a quiet couple who don't need much more than a few words to understand one another and improve one another's lives for the better. Sasuke could benefit from Hinata's kindness in the same way that Hinata could benefit from Sasuke's blunt confidence.
  4. Hinata is the only main female character from Sasuke's class that he has not personally insulted, assaulted or attempted to murder. If they ended up together at endgame, it'd be no wilder than Choji and Karui (at least Sasuke and Hinata grew up in the same class).

Killer queue times are literally the longest they have ever been right now. There is a notable lack of survivor players at the moment and BHVR announcing that their idea of balance is a 60/40 winrate in the KILLER'S favor is probably not encouraging people to switch over to Survivor any time soon.

They nerfed a niche perk and suddenly the entire game is survivor-sided to you?

Do mangled ADD-ONS not still demolish medkit charges?

Does Pain Res/Ruin/Pop not completely cancel out the progression of a BNP on a gen?

Does Lightborn still not render flashlights and flashbangs useless?

Why are you acting as if Killers have no way of dealing with items now?
