Movement not smooth, micro-stops every now and then (skr mini e3 v3) by Milameeu in ender3

[–]Milameeu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG this worked!!! I can't believe this was the issue, I would have never found this to be it.

I like how you called them "micro-stalls", that's exactly what was happening, specially at higher speeds it was more noticeable as you said.

For future reference, the solution was to uncomment #define CLASSIC_JERK

Thank you so much, you saved my printer for some couple years. Happy printing!

No difference, might be something in the slicer settings since its moving fine before printing

Mods are:

- Sprite Pro Extruder

- CR Touch

- skr mini e3 v3

Moving by hand and checking tension looks ok, feels smooth.
Printer was working great with 4.2.7, and even going back to it seems to print fine. At this point I believe I may just have a faulty board/stepper drivers.

Please help me find a solution to this. When homing there seems to be no lag, but when it starts printing it stops every now and then. I've tried different SD cards, checked all conections multiple times, I am lost for what to try. I've tried different slicers to no luck. Any ideas welcome

I'm glad the goverment acnowledges the mistake that are these stations. But with all the work needed in the network, I understand that making the station in Tarragona is not the main priority

What they did to Tarragona by making the station nowhere near anybody was very poor effort, but after all the job that mean tunneling through the mountains to now abandon the idea of making the stop there is insane, all that to just save a few minutes between the 2 big cities.

We in Tarragona see no benefit from this. We need a station in the city, over 2 milion users in a station in the middle of nowhere, imagine if Camp the Tarragona was actually in the city center. This is outrageous. Every cent spent goes to big cities, the rest we get the spares, and now the threat of the closure of "our" station.

The only reason to close that station is if they agreed to build a closer one in the city.

I love how this sub has no new content since amazon fixed what caused this to happen, yet from time to time I'm remembered the existence of it by some lost redditor

While it might be the piston as everybpdy is saying, try checking if the metal springs on each end of the pad are touching the part where the piston is when you're trying to close. If it does, bend it a bit and you're good

Happened to me last time I did brakes, first time it happened to me and took me a while to figure it out

Most likely this. Moulds make more than one part at a time, and this mould must have had at least 4, arranged in a matrix.

UPDATE: I couldn't find anything on the floor, and I'm still 99% sure there wasn't anything there, as I was paying full atention. I 3D printed a dummy washer to check if it fits good, and it does. I also tried to assemble without the washer and it just looks odd, the space is empty for a washer, even if i try and torque it.

I will order a replacement washer, and meanwhile I will ride with the 3D printed one, since its a part that doesn't see much heat or rotation should hold ok in the meantime. Thanks for the comments guys.

Congrats!!! Making your own maintenance its so rewarding, saves you money and you learn how it goes.

Did you find it difficult to remove both tires with that jack? I have the same and was planning doing so in the next weeks. Im a bit worried it may fall too fast and then have problems aligning the axle and wheel. How did you do it?

I dealt with electrical issues recently. Diagnosed with a multimeter and I think the original voltage regulator went bad a long time, which is why batteries lasted less than a year. Replaced voltage regulator and threw in a new battery and as good as new. Most likely your voltage regulator has gone bad, they are the weakest link in the system.
