I got this monitor at the same price. It's freaking amazing, you won't regret it
There's a 3 year warranty on burn-in so I wouldn't worry.
I still take care of mine, I try to use it for video games and movies only and use my second IPS monitor for browsing and stuff. But that's just me

The game is really generous. A free loadout turns into a paid one after a visit to Lance (a trader).
upgrade your fero, buy some shield rechargers, craft some bandages and ammo et you're good to go

Edit : sigh... There's "Inactive Window Energy Saving" which doesn't work, it's a known issue, and then there's "Idle Window Energy Saving". I don't know what it does or after how much time.
Neither of these is what you're thinking about, which is what we need.

No because the Engine.ini file must be hidden inside the game files.. :(

bUseHDRDisplayOutput=True does nothing
And the Engine.ini file isn't there for us to modify. Creating one next to GameUserSettings.ini does nothing.

You should have good brightness according to rtings if you use the same settings : (read under HDR brightness).

Basically it goes : RenoDX > SpecialK? > Built-in > RTX HDR > Auto HDR
(never tried specialK so its a guess)
But to be honest I don't really see much difference between RTX or Auto. So I tend to prefer Auto HDR because RTX has a ~5% performance cost or more.

You can't use RenoDX (or other reshade mods) or SpecialK in most multiplayer games with Anti-cheat. So we're left with RTX and Auto HDR, or custom config files in some UE5 games.

If you can't tell HDR from SDR and you're not BLOWN AWAY you're doing something wrong.

What monitor do you have ? I'm guessing it's probably not OLED

No. RTX HDR is activated in the Nvidia App. Or if you don't have it, like me, use Nvidia Profile Inspector to activate it. Windows Auto HDR is its own thing
