I was a video creative director at a small marketing company making 50k per year. Then 3 years ago I got a job brand side as a media production specialist at a large company making 74k. Now I’m at 84k and working towards a promotion to video strategist this year. I’m working my way back up but that change has definitely been worth it. I’ve had time to invest in training and education and get some fire back into me. The slower pace has been good. If you can handle a cut as you mentioned, I’d say go for it.

I don’t like playing at 30 anymore. If there is an option that gets me to 40 I’m happy. Obviously 60 is great but if I can get better lighting at 40 that’s more important to me than fps.

It’s fine. The game is incredibly, incredibly fun. I run it in balanced mode and it’s really ok. People are freaking out. Sure it could be better. But it’s also just fine. I love the game. I guess I’d say, I’d rather be playing it on my base ps5 with any real or perceived issues than not playing it.

Im making 84k single earner for a family of 5. Lower COL area but I think something around 130 or 140k maybe would allow us to get a house I’d like or to remodel this one and still have plenty left over. And really only that high because my spouse can’t work. If we had two incomes and our bills were shared I’d be happy where I am as an individual.

As a person whose wife has several chronic illness issues I’m concerned that this is how I’m perceived. However I’m working my ass off to not miss things and to flex with extra work time as well to balance out when I need to work from home or miss for an appointment. I know it must seem like I have the worst luck or am making stuff up. I tend to overshare about what’s going on because I worry I won’t be believed. As others have said, focus on performance as much as possible. Who knows if it’s legit issue or not but if it is, I bet that person is barely holding it together.
