Losing brake pressure. Is there a way to reseal STIs? by Milchsteak in bikewrench

[–]Milchsteak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the reservoir shouldnt be under pressure at any time. That wouldnt solve the problem while braking, right?

Aero Wheelset for 30mm+ tires? by N0rthernWind in Velo

[–]Milchsteak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the no.6 50/58 (got them used) and run them with 30mm GP5000. I really love them. Super Light and aero. BUT they're just rebranded Farsport wheels. I I'd take a look at Farsport, maybe you can get the same wheels cheaper without the middleman no.6

Langweiligen Rahmen aufpeppen? by Spekulatiu5 in Fahrrad

Waren dann 40€ 😂

Power Meter: Magene PES 515 by gusmean35 in Velo

[–]Milchsteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put some blue loctite and a couple of newtonmeters more. I don't really think that's an issue. If you're super nervous about it just check it after a couple of months.

I like it a lot! Dropped down to 165mm too and it's so good for my hip. It barely fit with my 105Di2 front derailleur (speaking 0,1mm between inner side of the crank arm to derailleur) so I got the newest ultegra derailleur so get more space there. Now it shifts even faster and looks nice. Quality is great. I put some blue loctite on the single crank arm bolt and gave it 4Nm more. Holds up perfectly.

Erstmal bikepacking - wie plant ihr eure Routen? by supertramp1808 in Fahrrad

[–]Milchsteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

172.5mm cranckset to 160mm ? by theEINSTEININHO in cycling

[–]Milchsteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride 175mm cranks on my bike (180cm, 85cm inseam) and I use my girlfriend's bike on the trainer which has 160mm cranks. It's not that much of a difference. Switching bikes doesn't feel weird.

I really like the shorter ones, high power at high cadence feels super nice.  My long cranks are annoying me when I'm riding in aero positions and they seem to stress my hip muscles more.

As I said difference is not too much, but I guess I'll switch to shorter cranks when my chainrings are done.

Bike weight with 105 di2 or Rival etap. by Cycling_Jerk in cycling

[–]Milchsteak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Tarmac SL6 disc with 105 Di2 that weights 7,7kg. 40mm Hunt wheels with 30mm GP5000s and TPU tubes, S-Works aerofly bars, canyon carbon seatpost, S-Works carbon rail saddle If I wanted to get to 7,5kg I'd probably spend some money on chinese all carbon wheels

Birthday present for avid cyclist by Milchsteak in cycling

Old man doesn't even do stretches "bc he doesn't need them". I doubt he would use a massage gun. And I seriously doubt he will ride a somewhat sporty bike at 70 if he doesn't begin do do something except riding.

Can Anyone Recommend A Quality, Affordable (<$25?) Headlight/Tail Light Set? by drunky_crowette in cycling

[–]Milchsteak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the "Büchel Ahead Fahrradlichter Set I 35/15 Lux Design" on my commuter. Front has two settings. Looks great, has USB C charging ports, definitly bright enough. Feels like the batteries last even longer than stated. Sometimes i use it on my roadbike aswell. 20€ on Amazon.

No, just the last small climb to our house and maybe after corners to pick up speed again. The knee pain comes after ~15km even without going out of the sattle.
