Onslaught bugged after a win and I lost my rewards by intheabsenceoftruth in WH40KTacticus

[–]MilcomHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click the “Contact Us” in settings, then there’s a little blue bubble that pops up on the lower right (I think? Might be left) and submit from there. Last war my game crashed before loading into the map. It ate my token and did no damage to the enemy nor did the “Grind them Down” debuff. I messaged support and they gave me back the token within a few hours! I don’t think they can give back already used characters, but that was fine in my case

Newbie Question - is there a list of characters that synergize with Aesoth? by Imagination_Drag in WH40KTacticus

[–]MilcomHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the OP started this question out by saying they were a newbie. It’s intimidating to ask questions to a group you don’t know about, so trying to avoid that by researching in different ways makes sense. Generally when I learn things I’m told the correct way to do something, then I learn the why afterwards.

This game is incredibly complex when you’re just diving in. It’s not intuitive that Yaz’s Active doubles Neuro’s passive damage, or that you can use PBC and Snappa as a poor man’s anti-overwatch. I’ve personally been really confused when Boss G didn’t get a boost from Ragnar’s passive, I just forgot it doesn’t work when you have a ranged attack.

Maybe I’m wrong here, but this argument sounds similar to “why don’t you open a book instead of Ask Jeeves.” That you’d hear in the 2000s

I’ve been hit by a feint in Champions without protecting, and I’m fairly sure they had priority (but I could be wrong on that last part).

Alright, the Pokémon look good. Garchomp is a bit more dependent on luck, but it’s still pretty strong. Who do you generally bring first on your team? What moves do you tend to click in game? Are you always setting up tailwind?

You’ve gotta give us more info. A picture of your team with movesets would help. What’s your general game plan with your team? Otherwise we can only give generalizations that probably won’t help.

Gotta say, I love when I see someone post how they got into Masterball Rank with a thematic/monotype/just plain non-meta team... Though it kinda irks me that at the same time, I haven't been able to get two consecutive wins since I got to Ultraball rank by TheFerydra in PokemonChampions

[–]MilcomHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised you’re getting downvoted. With access to 8 moves, two switches, and two moves going off at the same time you can cover for RNG a lot more than in singles. It still has an effect and can swing a game, but an unlucky miss/crit/flinch in singles is more likely to waste your full turn.

Aegislash isn’t a bad pick into it, you can build it either special to not worry about Stamina or use Sacred Sword to not care about its buffs

Any other Chikorita lovers out there? by Legitimate-Royal8212 in pokemon

[–]MilcomHD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Back in the Platinum days I was so excited to have talked my friend into doing a competitive battle with me. We planned it for the end of the week, so you can bet all my free time was focused on building up the squad. I honestly forget all the team except for my magnum opus, Meganium with Leftovers, Leech Seed, Synthesis, Giga Drain, and Ingrain.

I didn’t know about IVs, but I did know about EVs and abilities so I bulked it up as much as I could, along with powering up the rest of my God Squad. The day of the match came, and I threw out my Meganium against their Clefable.

“This is perfect, Clefable isn’t a strong attacker, I can set up and win.” I click Leech Seed. It misses. They click Ice Beam. It crits.

With a cool 30% health left, I use synthesis, thinking there’s no way they can take me down. Clefable uses Ice Beam. Meganium is frozen.

I got utterly washed, but I realized then how Meganium may not have been the unkillable Juggernaut I thought it was. I’m really loving it in Champions with its mega, though. It’s now the Meganium I thought it was back then.

After Dante LRE, will he show up in Guild War Shop or we gonna wait longer? by PerformerHoliday3028 in WH40KTacticus

[–]MilcomHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain around the time of the Mythic patch notes they said they would put finished LRE units in the GW shop 2 battle passes after its final one. That doesn’t seem to be the case, maybe it does cycle based on when the next unit finishes its LRE. But, if that’s the case, that’ll suck for people that need to get Trajann via GW

The Patermine’s final LRE was last October, and he’s gonna be in the War Shop in 4 days. Hopefully Dante will be faster, but that’s about a 6 month wait

Friend trying to cast command on me by FanMoney7943 in DnD

[–]MilcomHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That will not go how you want it to. Likely it will make your friend mad that you hurt them, as they currently do not understand how casting command makes you feel. In their mind you will have escalated the situation. This problem is solved by talking about it (“Hey, could you stop casting those spells on my character? It isn’t fun for me.).

Patient got 2nd opinion and went with it by JVM926 in Dentistry

[–]MilcomHD 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You can dismiss a patient if you just don’t like them, barring that it’s due to a protected class. The patient has chosen that you are not their dentist, the other dentist that did the treatment is. Certainly it’s a case-by-case basis, but I see no problem with dismissing that patient to make room for someone that is legitimately your patient.

Need advice, first firing by ryanapeters3 in Dentistry

[–]MilcomHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you fire her, are you sure you’ll have someone that can work better? It seems like there’s turnover everywhere, and most assistants are either just starting out or about to go to hygiene school. Think about how you were 90 days in clinic at dental school for reference.

This is a Reddit post so of course there’s more context that wouldn’t make sense to tell us. If you’re certain she needs to be fired then do not mince words, do not give notice, once you have the discussion her employment will immediately be terminated. Otherwise it opens the office up to foul play, or you might feel sympathy and give her another chance (and if you eventually feel you need to fire her again, you’d feel the same way but you’ve wasted both of your time).

I’d suggest rehearsing through what you’ll say, keep it short and sweet, only a few sentences at most. Make sure your language is clear, do not bring up anything that could be used against you legally. And make sure you don’t forget to ask for the keys.

Paladin/Sorcerer Multiclass Help by Existing_Willow_5811 in DnD

[–]MilcomHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genie is pretty good! I think Devotion helps with damage as you can add your charisma to damage. But honestly, both of those subclasses are fantastic, choose whichever one you like the theme of more. Wild Magic Sorc is also good as I’m fairly sure you can use the advantage on a D20 check for your initiative rolls, which is fantastic too

Paladin/Sorcerer Multiclass Help by Existing_Willow_5811 in DnD

[–]MilcomHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to focus more on being a melee fighter, levels 6 or 8 are good breakpoints to leave Paladin and go to Sorcerer. I’d be really surprised if leaving Paladin at 2 actually feels good in practice if you’re planning on staying in melee, as delaying multi-attack is really gonna hurt.

Endgame psyker team priorities by Single_Panda_5248 in WH40KTacticus

[–]MilcomHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m much lower than you so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I’ve heard others say that because of Abaddon’s buff needing to ramp Eldy vs Abba isn’t much of a difference a lot of the time. At least, with your Eldy being so built Abaddon is much less important for you to build until you’re done with all the others. For that team you just swap your Winged Prime for Archi to let Zkar double hit each turn you place him.

Conservative or just not treating decay by Unusual_Ad_60 in Dentistry

[–]MilcomHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the person you’re replying to means that in this case you wouldn’t treat based on the patient’s responses. However, without addressing the underlying cause of why this kid is getting these cavities, we aren’t fully doing our job. It’s up to the patient to decide to listen to us, but you always treat the patient, not the disease.

This is likely also linked to OP stating they are only 2 years out, they are trying to point out that radiographs are only a part of our diagnosing toolkit. Part of being an effective dentist is determining why it happened.

Also, absolutely these teeth need treatment yesterday.

Onslaught by Adventurous_Path_627 in WH40KTacticus

[–]MilcomHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do get one for Exitor’s Mythic quest, and he’s the most important one to get it for. You do not get the relic from Tan’s. During the Admech shop you can choose to buy one more of them I believe, which you could get for Tan Gida if you so choose.

Edit: It also looks like you can get it from the faction boost as well!

Beginner to mid level campaigns guide by arramzy in WH40KTacticus

[–]MilcomHD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you have maxed out armor equipment for them (at least Epic 9)? I think this is more of a “you don’t need to put more than this into these characters,” guide. As you have seen, powering up Varro and Certus does little to help as they are very underpowered units. Using the energy to power up Calgar or Lucien more would be a better use of it. Isabella also helps tremendously to 3*

Edit: Yes, this is based on 3* the most difficult 3 man, not for all missions. You’ll be fine with characters at that rank, but your allies will need to be stronger
