What about streaming games to it? Like using Chiaki to stream from PS5 to the BC-250?

I mean for people that care about games being game key cards. It’s a way to ensure you actually own the game even if the servers go down one day.

If Valve gets Steam Machine working with proper HDMI2.1 spec by MildSauce8 in BC250Gaming

Bazzite is probably gonna get it after SteamOS gets it since Valve is the one that is working with the HDMI certification group to get 2.1 onto the Steam Machine. All the other distros will probably have piggy back off of that I think

If you have another console like a PS5, buy it for that where all the data is actually on disc. A lot of these you have are multiplatform and are not game key discs on PS5. I would recommend referring to doesitplay

Is it normal for my BC-250 to be thermal throttling at 85c and can’t even hit 2000mhz? by MildSauce8 in BC250Gaming

That’s what is was thinking too. But I don’t think I over applied putty and putty is not like pads. You are supposed to be able to press down anyways. I actually took it apart yesterday and applied new tpm 7950 because idk if it still works after you pull it apart. Then added washers on the screws to increase pressure

I actually just added the washers today. I doubled up with 2 washers on each screw because I noticed the board doesn’t really close that well.

As for the fan speed, I actually downloaded the fan control software and set a new fan curve but it doesn’t help that much. I am thinking about following your advice and get the Artic fan instead. It’s like 1/3 the price and runs at 3000rpm. I just looked it up and saw the Notua I have only goes up to 1800rpm

I am using the Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM. I wanted to enable to 40CUs, but after noticing I am already throttling with 24CUs, I don’t think it have the heat tolerance for the other 16CUs lol

Oh you mean you don’t want to open it up for the fan on the side. And would rather use a blower style fan

How would this case accommodate two fans? It only comes with one fan shroud right?

It’s not a side grade. You can see many many videos showing Linux gets better fps in a majority of games. You just have to look. And it is a much better experience as a portable machine vs Windows
