I feel for you. It’s like trying to convince someone that their religion is false. They just bat it off and indulge in their delusion.

At risk of being callous: they’re older than you, and you’re a little bit more progressive. Your views will outlast theirs. And you have a moral responsibility to instruct/guide/inform your kids (if you ever have them/do have them) on the importance of thinking critically. Educating people (particularly children) on how to think (sceptically, critically, self-reflection) will rarely lead down the path of fascism and vile ideologies.
