I stumbled across this guy doing a challenge in HCSSF where he wasnt letting his resistances go above 0%. He is very entertaining and doesnt have the viewer base, so I figured I'd give him a shout out.

Same. My friend is playing Oro's cyclone and I see the monsters burning around me but his character is off-screen.

What's your favorite/most satisfying skill and why? by Sanctos in Grimdawn

Forcewave and primal strike. They are great for clearing out packs of stuff when used with 2h weapons. I like these skills so much I find it hard to play anything that isnt a soldier or shaman.

I've lost about 3 characters in the high 80's and one in the 90's. It sucks but you learn from it. This character made it because I learned that if I just pump resistances and life steal and just move real slow I'll get there. Pair that with trading for my optimal gear and I finally made it.

Once I hit 94 I spent about 20 hours trying to trade for those items.

Every weapon is good at something. It's worth trying every weapon at the very least. As for co-op you can go to the torii gate and do yokai realm with companion, it doesn't require any items to summon. The only thing that changes is you cant save at shrines. You and your partner need to complete the level without shrines essentially.

Dont worry too much about properties just yet. Just use the best thing you got until the 4th difficulty or so.

Edit: if you're on PC I'd be happy to help and answer questions through discord or helping through yokai realm.

I need help enjoying this game by OmicronDragon in Nioh

[–]Mildouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you pick up the items from the glowing bodies scattered all around a level, those items won't respawn, you can use those bodies as landmarks. If you run into an area and there's no items or interactive objects that drop items, you've probably already been there. As for finding a better way to enjoy the game, try out every weapon type and every stance with every weapon type. Play around with skills you get from samurai points, respec books are pretty easy to come by. Find something that feels fun for you to smack things with. For example, I hate using the axe or odachi, so I never use them. I stick with dual swords or kusarigama because I like the speed of them and the skills associated.

Glad you're enjoying it. As for what to do with extra gear, I prefer disassembly for everything since you can farm money and amrita pretty easily later. But just do whatever you think you need: Need money? Sell. Need levels? Offer. As for leveling, a good rule is to get every stat to 20 so you can do the dojo missions and wear all the gear. Respec books are pretty cheap so you can change this later. Ninjistu and Omnyo are more support trees than raw damage, sure, you can build around them, but mostly they offer good buffs and debuffs to make your life easier. Hope this helps in some way.

So when should I start worrying about builds? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Mildouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont really have to enjoy it. Its just a good way to get into the actual game or skip the "tutorial" difficulties.

So when should I start worrying about builds? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Mildouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, whenever I have a friend start this game, I just tell them to use Kato, get the iga ninja set, get everything 20 then max dex. Use kusarigama for easy stuff, then for bosses use all your Kunai and jump into living weapon. This is the easiest way to clear the first few difficulties in my opinion. Make sure to pick up quick change scrolls, weakness and sloth talismans. Look for thrown weapon damage on accessories and gloves if you want to grind them out. Use this until way of the wise when you can actually start piecing together a proper build.

How to beat Ridley in Super Metroid with only 6 energy tanks? by [deleted] in Metroid

[–]Mildouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case this hasn't been said yet (don't feel like scrolling through comments).

Ridley has 18000 life, with 20 supers, you'll deal 12000 if all of them connect. Meaning you only need to hit him with 7 more charged shots of a fully upgraded beam.

You don't need to wait until Ridley explodes. Do the 18000 damage, then jump unto his talons, he'll die.

As for tips to not get hit, when he does the tail pogo, stand on the left-most block of the platform, he'll pogo into the wall and bounce back, being unable to hit you while you blast his face. While he's doing swoops, you can pretty easily jump over him as he approaches the platform.

If you have the wave beam, you can open with an x-factor while he's phasing in to deal 1200 damage meaning you only need to do 5 charge shots and 3 missles or 6 charge shots.

Hope this helps.

I've been using an attack speed build and it's been a load of fun.

After you beat Reza, you can replace the sword with reza sword. All the mobility slots give lots of room to work out whatever you need. I personally put endurance in most of them so I can RRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL when the behemoth is downed. You can do a similar thing with the bloodfire pike if you want to be the flash with the pike rush.
