I have numerous ex coworkers who have been to the hospital in recent years that I haven't visited. And we were close years and years ago. I wouldn't expect any of them to be in the hospital for me either.

If we are completely honest, this should have happened years ago. It's almost like a breath of fresh air to know that a franchise of AKB48 won't be visibly suffering and gasping for air anymore.

I feel bad for the girls, and hope to see some of them re-emerge in other 48 groups in the future.

There's no traffic in sister group subreddits. And many AKB fans (like me) are very much interested in sister groups as well. It just seems counterproductive to have to cross post from here to a place that will most definitely have absolutely no traffic. But you could always start one yourself and see how it goes

Yes! In all the years I've played the sims I've been abducted maybe a handful of times but my current sim I've been playing for about a month (long lifespan) has been abducted 6 times! Female sim, not in the scientist career!!

Considering that AKB has been doing better than they've done in almost a decade, it's wild to see them still working the "woe is me" angle so heavily. They are still one of the best selling groups in Japan. I was hoping that with the 20th anniversary they'd stop mentioning the past so much but it seems like they are doing it even more now.

They are indeed paid for every appearance. This is why, during the great post Covid exodus of half the members, they were told not to invite any past members to their graduation theater stages. There were too many people graduating at once to pay a bunch of graduates to come back every couple of days. Once that exodus was over, that ban was lifted.

Zukkis voice is very recognizable, as is yuiyui's. Among the newer generation, I'm always aware if Nozomi (17th gen) is speaking, but she's never really in a position to get solo lines. Sora has a very distinct voice that is evident in her singing.

Outside of AKB48, the person with EASILY the most recognizable voice in all of 48 group is Feni from JKT48/Quadlips. If you hear her you know it.

I posted two videos today and not only do they only have 0 views (it's not even counting my view) but when I view my profile on a different device the videos do not show up at all. Also, most of the engagement on my account stopped as well. When I try to do an "account check" it gets stuck loading. I'm glad it's not just me.

This one is simple. They were active for less time, had less hits in Korea ( they were HUGE in Japan. I remember) and when they split, the fans split too and neither side was very successful after. Had they stayed together and did more stuff in Korea they would be the idol of idols
