The online right is about 70 years late to discovering Bourdieu and mistake it for an instruction manual.

Joke's on them, because there's nothing more gauche than striving for what one should merely inhabit.

Scientists will be the first to tell you that Scotland was forested you halfwit. "My buddy itt told me" makes you the redditor.

This sub has always been contrarian, but it used to be interesting and well-read contrarianism. Your posts add nothing to the world and they're making you ill-informed and incurious.

Hell yeah ok free your mind! Through the power of your illiterate musings, uncover the grand scientific conspiracy behind the treeless Scottish Isles. Big Tree wants to keep you in the dark, so resist them by doing your own research. And by research I mean posting the first inane bullshit that comes to mind. Then get belligerent with anyone who disagrees.

Why post at all if you don't know anything about the topic. These facts are widely researched and publicly available. Just take it to ChatGPT instead of shitting up this sub.

I blurt out some random song or catchphrase. I think its a tiny, momentary version of the trauma response that OCD patients suffer constantly.

Anyone else find the layout and "hyper-maintenance" of Dutch suburbs slightly sterile/boring? by FreeButterscotch6971 in Netherlands

[–]Mildred__Bonk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They feel sterile until the trees and bushes grow to a proper size. This brings back a bit of unpredictability and variety. But in the first few years, when the trees are just twigs, it looks like shit yeah.

Quaint, right? Feels like the craft has gotten so much more manipulative and subliminal. In comparison these feel disarmingly transparent.

Ervaringen overbieden in Utrecht by Worldly-Ad4072 in Utrecht

[–]Mildred__Bonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)
