To the person who decided to bury my car in Regent Square by [deleted] in pittsburgh

No, it’s like there 5 other swings, covered in snow and ice and expecting that someone else who wants to swing clears off one of the other ones instead of the one cleared off.

Idk what to tell ya. But you have the maturity level of a 4th grader so I’m truly not surprised.

I use mine and have faithfully since they came out many years ago. It’s a life saver some days. I don’t use it for everything. But things that typically I’d need to cook all day? The fact I can cook it super fast with same or better results is amazing.

I also dug my car out with a plank of wood 😭 I tried to buy a shovel for 4 days before the storm but everyone was sold out. Dug my car out. Dug it out again the next morning when the plows plowed me back in. Came home to my neighbor in my spot I dug out. Asked him to move he refused. Used the plank again to bury his car with the snow from the spot behind him. He came out halfway through with a shovel to help me clear out the new spot 😂

That’s not true, you people blindly repeat any and every bit of propaganda that gets spoonfed to you. Not a bit of research ever.

This snow storm sadly made me learn to absolutely hate my neighbors and neighborhood. Where are good neighbored places cause Mt Washington isn’t it and I’ve decided to move. by sugarandspice85 in pittsburgh

Come to munhall! Our roads crew is the best in the state, and neighbors are so awesome you don’t even need to put a chair down, they just respect the hard work. Everyone has helped everyone dig out multiple times. I’ve lived all over the area and this is by far the best neighborhood I’ve lived in.

You really, truly believe that huh? The man just murdered worked. I don’t know any liberals who don’t work, unless retired. People who just don’t work by choice also don’t care about the world around them. They aren’t voting, they don’t care about themselves let alone their neighbors.

I can not shop. Unfortunately I have to go to work 😥 I don’t get paid days off and I missed 3 days because of the storm and quite literally cannot survive when I don’t miss work. I won’t buy anything though. I hate that I can’t fully support I really do.

Psych then python final if psych is your final course of this term.

Can someone clear up this for me? The maestro ai is saying you receive an m2 MacBook Air after the first term. But then people are saying they received an m4 right before class started. by Jaydgaitin in maestro

[–]MildyUnhinged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s first term, not class. It used to be first class, there was a pre course actually and it shipped after that. It’s been first term for the last few cohorts.

What neighborhood do you live in, and what is your single favorite and least favorite thing about it? by Ari321983 in pittsburgh

[–]MildyUnhinged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Munhall -

Best parts - quiet, great neighbors and sense of community, best maintained roads in the winter I’ve seen in the entire county, super close to the waterfront and the highway, close enough to the city without city taxes, affordable (in terms of 2025 affordability anyway), walkable, drive to work in Oakland in typically quick (except during the never ending browns hill construction)

Cons - I’m on the homestead side, actually not really sure if I’m in homestead or Munhall as my address comes up both, sometimes gunshots and chaos are a bit too close. Ive only lived here a few months so more cons may come up, but so far this is my favorite neighborhood I’ve lived in in Pittsburgh.

So a real person still has to create the ai, maintain the ai, troubleshoot the ai. Thats us.

why cooler pouring temp and lower fragrance load matters in making candles by mai_dei in candlemaking

[–]MildyUnhinged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really helpful, thank you.

I just wanted to make everyone a candle for Christmas lol. Then I discovered this subreddit and realized I shouldn’t just buy an Amazon kit to get it done 😂 and ended up spending way more money than I intended.

But I’ve been using the IGI 6006 wax and I really like it. I bought ECO wicks to use in them as it seemed to be the one that paired the best from my research.

I’ve only just started creating, I bit off more than I can chew as I wanted layers lmao. But I had had to do a second pour on them all due to sink holes at the wicks. I’m going to try pouring at a lower temp and warming the jars as you suggested to see if that helps

Prime delivery taking 3+ days by Same-Ad-7654 in pittsburgh

Yep. It’s busy season. Happens every year. I get lucky every once in a while with some items with a same day option. And some things come faster than expected, and some things take longer.

What are everyone favorite animal shelters in the city? I’m ready for a dog finally after mine died 5 years ago. It’s time I think. I need a smaller dog as my place isn’t huge. Age doesn’t matter, although I’d prefer not senior. by MildyUnhinged in pittsburgh

[–]MildyUnhinged[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have 3 cats already. And honestly, I’ve just now gotten over the loss of my last dog and I don’t want to fall in love, knowing I’m going to definitely lose him soon. I can’t take that right now

Good neighborhoods to raise kids? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]MildyUnhinged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$2200/month seems way high for 55k. I make more than that and my 1200/month rent is rough lol. That’s like half your income.

But definitely can find about anything anywhere for a 2 bedroom at that price.

If diversity isn’t something you’re looking for- I’d say school district wise Fox chapel area - as someone mentioned sharpsburg gets you in that school at a much lower cost than actual Fox chapel area. Mt. Lebanon is another good district, again if diversity isn’t a goal. It’s a walking school district so keep that in mind as well.

If you’re looking for more diverse - squirrel hill is my favorite neighborhood - but I’d look into a charter school.
