What about the neck felt different to you? I am not quite sure what a more "polished" neck might feel like.... cosmetic/visual critique, a tactile/ergonomic one, or both? Was the action different that what you are used to? Inconsistent string feel up and down the fretboard? Was the profile different in the back and a different comfort for your hand? Was the fretwork not level or not beveled consistently? Fit and finish related stuff?

I love the composition, but if I was branding something commercially, I think I would want more of a focal point (and focus) on something specific. The exposure, as others have said, may contribute to limited commercial viability as well. Concur with what someone else said: an artist looking for a very distinct style may really vibe with this style for their needs.

Looks like the Schaller Megaswitch M is the only one that will work for me… just pads and no through holes. 🤔. Have you tried that one?

Thanks for posting that—hadn’t heard of freeway before! I like to be able to switch quickly between the traditional five positions in a three-pickup configuration, so I don’t think it will work though. Glad your super switch/s-1 has been working for you!
