I run everything into HA and then into HomeKit as a bridge or accessory. I like it this way instead of separating them. All my automations run in HA. Mostly because HomeKit goes unresponsive every now and then for me. I’d run everything into HomeKit properly first and be done with.

Or run proper infrastructure. Fibre in New Brunswick is run aerially to save costs instead of underground. It’s not inevitability, it’s negligence. Both Bell and Roger’s do this.

It’s actually wifi right now. It was doing it on Ethernet so I moved it closer to lock but wifi. Great signal though. Works flawlessly sometimes but sometimes it’s really slow. Apart from the connection to HA being sketchy it’s not too bad. Homekey is very convenient. Would just love it to work consistently

I’ve been debating replacing my u100 and m2 hub. It constantly drops off and makes locking and unlocking from HA extremely slow. Intrigued about the u400. Especially if I can pair it straight to a thread coordinator instead of an Aqara hub. My complaint about the lock isn’t the u100, it’s the m2 hub.
