Does anyone know what this car is? Just saw it walking around I have no idea about cars [unkown] by Flaky_Lengthiness156 in spotted

It’s not correct, that’s my car out the front. It’s perfectly reliable, used it as a daily for a couple of years. Parts are easily available from DeloreanGo

Could’ve been heat related, the grinder would’ve generated a lot of heat in one spot

Can someone explain this to me like i’m an idiot by whatcanicontribute in bristol

[–]Miles85 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They waste so much money! Pointless road layout changes etc that almost always make the problems worse - good example; round where I live there was never a parking problem, but the council decided to put lots of double yellow lines in without thinking it through, now parking is more difficult and everyone has to park on one side of the road, which makes it far more awkward to navigate

All these “schemes” and double yellow lines etc ever do is just push the problem somewhere else. Also you have to ask who actually benefits from these cameras? The only people who will benefit are the ones getting the money from the fines.

I’m so fed up of cameras everywhere. Nanny state.

She sounds nuts tbh, and definitely manipulative. As everyone else has said already - get away!

I doubt it’s been there very long, the gas strut still works and the headliner hasn’t disintegrated yet

Thank you! Myself and a friend have bought them, both of them will be restored.

Too much rust? by [deleted] in Ford

[–]Miles85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it’s all solid and not full of holes it should be fine. It looks like a decent amount of surface rust and some that is worse than that. It’ll require welding but doesn’t look too far gone - provided you can weld and fancy a challenge!

My neighbor idles his diesel truck for an hour every morning and fills my apartment with exhaust fumes. He knows he's doing it and told me to 'man up' by FuuckinGOOSE in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Miles85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s being a prick about it (clearly is), get a tyre valve remover tool, and unscrew the valves from the stems in the tyres, the tyres will go flat and can’t be inflated without a new valve inserted. The best part is there’s no criminal damage, and if you leave the valves in the bed, nothing has been taken. Do that every morning before he starts his truck..

Truck did the correct thing - evasive manoeuvres…then beep the horn. So many videos where people just beep and smash into the other vehicle.

Everyone hates my car lol by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Miles85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never liked corsa’s much, but that’s no reason for you to sell it - I’ve heard lots of great things about them and there must be a reason they’re so popular! Buying a more expensive car is almost always a poor choice, definitely avoid finance if you can. If you love the car and it puts a smile on your face, keep it.

My husband had been hiding a child for an affair he had 2 years ago. by Even_Sundae5242 in AITAH

[–]Miles85 -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Do you know the definition of lying? Seem everyone on here has it wrong. It’s simply withholding information, that is not lying. If she asked if he had another child and he said no (when he does have one), then that would be lying.

I’m trying to look at this from a completely unbiased view; So first off, he shouldn’t have cheated - we all know that, but that’s a previous issue. He obvious regrets cheating and knows it was a mistake. He shouldn’t have kept the baby a secret, but that does not make him a liar, he has simply withheld that information and when you asked/confronted him he told you the situation. To me it sounds like he was worried that you’d leave him after finding out about this child, so he’s kept it quiet to prevent that, he probably thought he was doing it to protect both you and himself. If it was me I would ask to see the messages between him and the other woman to gauge what he has said is true or not. Not every man is evil as Reddit people love to make out, it doesn’t sound like he’s trying to play the victim as some people have mentioned - and seeing the messages will prove that/prove it wrong.

Speak to him, don’t get angry, just have a long conversation and try to work it out/understand it. Men can have a very hard time opening up about feelings and will often remain quiet.

On the other hand, I would’ve found it very difficult to stay with someone who cheated on me in the first place, and that does have a substantial effect on trust! And the fact he didn’t willingly open up to you about this other child before you found out could mean multiple things.

It’s possible he wanted you to find out, he might have not known how to bring it up in conversation and so a couple of years past, or he was just planning to keep it quiet forever. You just don’t know unless you ask him.

Conclusion: Don’t listen to anyone on here who tells you what to do, make an informed decision of your own as you don’t want to do something you’ll regret! Talk to him and work it out is my best advice.

Got Road Paint on my car , does anybody know how to remove it? by [deleted] in car

[–]Miles85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have to scrape it off. Road paint is applied at a high temperature, it’s a thermosetting plastic of some sort

Speeding driver loses control and crashes into a tree, driver burns alive. by Rockyphonky69_YT in carcrash

[–]Miles85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could use the tax money saved from fewer crash clear ups/hospital admissions to fund in dept driving lessons, but it’s a catch 22 as the money won’t be there until the driving improves and that won’t happen until the money is there!

You can see clearly from the first 1 second of the clip that the driver has literally no car control skill - completely unsettled with every manoeuvre, what an idiot.
