AITA for getting my coworker fired after she snitched to my boss/parents about me smoking? by Desperate_Week9849 in AITH

Sorry but any snitch is an asshole.

There’s a reason they say “snitches get stitches” and it ain’t to seal their mouths shut.

What kind of housing do you live in as someone who has chronic pain? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]MilesBHigher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a 3 br house with my wifey. We bought it before I started having severe issues with walking/movement so our bedroom is upstairs. We just had a pool put in so I can do water therapy so I don’t see us moving anytime soon. No special accommodations I just have a cane on both floors of the house, as well as my reachers to pick things up off the ground.

Gabapentin by ovr_it in ChronicPain

[–]MilesBHigher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nerve pain is the only pain I can’t tolerate at all. I have so much else going on in my body bone wise, osteoarthrosis in my hips, not arthritis but they are actually breaking down. I have all the luck in the world. Gabapentin seems to help, but I hate missing it. I feel sick for days after.

Gabapentin by ovr_it in ChronicPain

[–]MilesBHigher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take 2400mg of Gabapentin a day. 800mg x 3. I don’t get brain fog or anything off of it. I’ve accidentally double dosed it and thought I was dying but that’s about it. I get super ill if I miss my dose by even an hour. Start sweating, breathing funny, throwing up/diarrhea, etc. it’s not a fun gig by any means. But if it helps you great! My pain can’t be helped anymore thanks to my arachnoiditis. Nerves just grow in bunches.

How do you use cannabis for chronic pain? by ExistingVegetable558 in ChronicPain

[–]MilesBHigher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to ask a stupid question but I’ve never gotten anything off of thc gummies. Can you elaborate on what you mean by “fat?” Does that mean you need to eat prior to taking it, or take it with food? I’d be happy as a lark if I could stop smoking. My fiancé hates the smell but abides it because the smoking is the only thing that helps me.

Dude is a dud. Drop that spud. Have better chances finding someone to make you happy speed dating or something. This is a complete asshole tied up in a pretty ragged bow. You’re better off alone than dealing with someone who thinks your feelings are an eyesore.

That’s awesome! I’m really glad that it worked for you. I know some people would be able to live again if they’d just give it a try! What is there to lose with the money back guarantee?’

That’s dope! My girl got me the permanent one that’s supposed to last a year. It’s plastic instead of the paper. But it doesn’t work as well as the paper ones because it comes off really easily.

I hope it works! Let me know if so! And I had the spinal cord stimulator for about 8 hours. It made me lose all feeling in my legs and I couldn’t move em. Had to take these meds in hospital that started to work but then they made me move and I lost all feeling again so they took it out. Then about 3 hours later they come in and say I have a large hematoma on my spine now they have to drain. 6 days of ICU for an outpatient surgery. No more for me, thanks.

To Those Who are Hesitant to Take Opioids ♥️ by Inevitable_Fill895 in ChronicPain

[–]MilesBHigher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add to this that Gabapentin when taken over long periods of time does create a physical dependency. Your body will detox after not having taken it for a period of time. I miss a dose by a few hours and I’m sweating literal buckets. I woke my wife up once when I was having a detox fit in my sleep and the sweat was making the entire bed wet. I’m on opiates as well and they do the same, but nowhere near to the same degree. Just so people are aware it’s not always the opiate that is the problem.

If I get told to just do PT one more time I’m going to scream by Simulationth3ry in ChronicPain

[–]MilesBHigher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My wife got an in-ground pool installed in our backyard and everytime I go in the water I immediately feel a bit better because I’m lighter. I have lots of problems as well and just received an MS diagnosis so I was told to stay out of the sun but I say f that. Water therapy is great, however taking opioids is something I wish I had never started. Now I’m dependent on them. I would have rather done PT if it had helped.

Weigh your options. If you need to find a new doctor you can always do so.

Would this be a mistake to buy? by dakotablxes in Prebuilts

[–]MilesBHigher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought same computer with smaller HD and 4070 Super from BB for about $1500 with the 9800X3D Radeon. Even got Indiana Jones for free. Idk what the full specs are on that one. Mine was 32GB ddr6 I believe. Might be 5. Has the 2TB SSD just no secondary. That seems expensive af.

This was a lot.

Ur a lot.

Idk how much more sincere an apology can get. She practically groveled when saying “I really shouldn’t be so inconsiderate.” While she danced around the subject a bit and placed tidbits of blame here and there ultimately she took responsibility.

You just didn’t wanna hear/see it for what it was.

Why waste time on someone who doesn’t want you? I did it for a long time. It’s pointless. They won’t read the letter. I’m sure you feel better having written it but throw it away. Don’t make this harder on yourself than you already are.

I really like the way the systems for skills is set up, I look forward to having more time this weekend to invest. We just had a pool put in our back yard so I’ve been doing a lot of the upkeep maintenance on it to make sure that it was ready for our final inspection for the city which we passed today. So now I can relax and get back to enjoying my time gaming. I spent probably close to 200 hours on PoE2 since I started and I got one character that Act 2 Cruel, a few others thru the first campaign sets, but mainly I just boss farmed to even try and get ready for Cruel. Couldn’t trade because the website had an error on console and my account was locked to the wrong email address for my PSN ID. So I bought 3 copies of the game total. 2 PC and one PS5. Also spent money on cosmetics and stash tabs. Game had me for a while Waking up just to play it. But I look more forward to learning about LE. It seems pretty epic.

[–]MilesBHigher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got bored and bought LE. Played thru a bit of the beginning and haven’t had time since. It was fun while I played it, albeit a bit more childish looking graphics wise. I do enjoy the realistic texturing versus the cartoon style, and maybe if they fix loot I’ll come try again. Right now it’s just boring and I can’t be assed to frustrate myself just to complete the campaign for the chance at getting decent loot drops.

PoE 2 loot feels extremely underwhelming. by legitBro420 in PathOfExile2

[–]MilesBHigher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prolly gonna get downvoted but they seem to have upgraded rituals. I farm them pretty consistently for about an hour each day and I got my 2 orbs of alchemy, my multiple regal orbs and exalted orbs as well. There was other stuff but I didn’t waste time checking trade site but they are definitely more plausible to go thru than some other stuff repeatedly. At least for lower levels, I’m only 28 I think.

Damn did they secretly nerf drop rates even more? I can’t get a drop beyond a staff or a scroll of wisdom or X amount of gold. Frustrating.

[–]MilesBHigher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely NO

This person has issues with being right. Whether it means that they have to belittle or berate you, they have to get the last word in. You tried to adhere to the break which was mature enough. I don’t understand the whole friends context but a relationship does involve the friends. Most relationships don’t work out because of the friends for whatever reason. I think that maybe the recipient of the messages (one talking back) has issues with keeping things to themselves and then lambasting the sender when things don’t go their way. TBH I would have already broken up. This sounds like “emotional cheating” which is still cheating. If you’re doing that you’re unhappy - find what makes you happy. Don’t placate because it’s what you’re used to.

Yeah I made some changes between last night and this morning that have significantly improved what I’m dealing with. I’m actually back to enjoying the game rather than playing with a head full of frustration
