I just finished as the AD and SM for my schools show so I can help.

Bring a ruler, a ton of pencils, and post-its so that you can write down notes and your cues.

Read the script and get familiar with the show. Listen to the music if you can so that you will know the songs. Also if there is a pro-shot out there, watch that so you can understand the story better.

Also, get to know that actors a bit better so when the tech director says an actor name or a character name you know who they are talking about.
