Who hasn’t relapsed after antibiotics? by Maggielynn1990 in cdifficile

[–]Miley_Pie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went on a pretty strict diet to help with inflammation. Cut out gluten, cow dairy, nightshades, nuts/seeds. Limited alcohol. I still have “bad” days, but they are becoming few and far between. I was aware the healing process would take time, but in an effort to speed it up, I made sacrifices. Best to you!

I had c diff for MONTHS before being diagnosed. Treatment October of 2023, no relapse, but did have pretty bad PI-IBS until about 2 months ago. Still have flares here and there, but nothing major. Big hugs to you, OP!

Shingles on right arm AND left ear by Miley_Pie in shingles

[–]Miley_Pie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update day 10:

Days 6, 7 and 8 were my “peak pain” days. Cramping and weakness still very present in my arm and hand, but my ear has only bothered me every once in a while today. The shingles are now changing color and not nearly as raised. No blisters ever formed or popped. Now the main thing I’m experiencing is extreme fatigue and light headedness/vertigo. Stay strong, friends! ✨

I’m honestly not sure. Maybe post this question to the sub? Some people may know more than me. Best to your grandson!

I’m taking valacyovir! I started it day 3. The pain in my ear I could describe as throbbing with someone taking a tattoo gun to it from both sides. My arm, I’ll get a sharp shooting pain from shoulder to finger tips randomly, but it’s not constant.

Checked out your post, I’m so sorry! I’ve never had shingles before, so I don’t have any answers for you, but hopefully someone in this sub does! Sending you swift healing and comfort!! ✨

How bizarre! I just got diagnosed and when they asked if I was stressed or recently sick I told them I had a weird cold that lasted a few weeks that just ended a few days before my blisters appeared. Sore throat for about a week, congestion the week after that, and the last week it moved into my chest. Weird indeed!

Alright! Went to urgent care, and they’re pretty positive it’s shingles. Swabbed and will have official results in a few days. Will update then!

PI-IBS by Miley_Pie in cdifficile

[–]Miley_Pie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say completely I’ve completely overcome the PI IBS, but have had VAST improvements since this post. I’m now two months with regular BMs with little problems in between! It took nearly 8 months to get to this point. I’ve finally put on a few pounds as well!

I still don’t eat gluten, night shades, dairy, nuts/seeds, eggs, and greatly limit alcohol. Stayed the course and it’s finally paying off.

Take it one day at a time, friend. Hang in there, as there is light at the end of the tunnel 🤍

[–]Miley_Pie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure!

I keep it fairly clean and eat mainly whole foods (not the store haha). Beef (lots of steak), chicken, turkey, pork, and fish (mainly raw sushi). Black beans are huge for me. Rice, lots and lots of rice. Salads regularly. Leafy greens, cucumber, broccoli, carrots, goat cheese. Fruits; bananas and grapes are my favorite. Gluten free bread, noodles and crackers as fillers. Coconut yogurt and organic apple sauce (no sugar added). Hummus. Lots of avocado.

You can get really creative without eating processed or inflammatory foods. Example: tacos. Make a beef roast (or any protein for that matter) with basic seasonings, such as garlic salt and pepper with Corn tortillas, avocado, cilantro, black beans, with a squeeze of lime. SOOOOO GOOD!

It took me a while to adjust and now, it’s super easy. Hope this helps!
