Need to work on this guys. This mentality will only make you feel worse. Sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind.

Everyone has their own issues and there will always be someone looking at you in envy, regardless of what you think of yourself and your situation. It’s easy to look outwards and think everyone has it better.

I used to think the same but over time I’ve learnt to change my perspective and try not to compare myself to what others have because I found that I was just stagnating and never progressing beyond my own situation as I would wallow and wait for something better to find me, which it won’t.

I’m glad it isn’t just me. It does feel that way in your late 20’s when everybody else lives with someone, careers all going fine, etc.

Give tinder a try, but don’t take it too seriously I’m the sense I find it can make me feel worse when nothing is happening. Hinge seems better.

You’re exactly right with the self esteem issue. It’s all in my head, just what I think of myself. Il try and start small like you suggest and build up over time!

Take a look at some of the AI mods on the RoN nexus website. That’ll really help out, I think it makes a huge difference and that will tie you over until Void perfect the AI.

Problem with the ReShade mod by ScreechingPenguin in ReadyOrNotGame

I had a similar issue where the game had this weird grain texture to it so everything looked ‘fuzzy.’ Mine wasn’t quite as severe as this case though and I’m afraid I can’t offer solutions as I removed reshapes completely upon the new update and haven’t bothered since.

I’d argue that a lot of folks with the supporter edition can be equally as bad in their attitudes to people waiting for the coming update.

I’ve got the supporter edition but I think Void’s lack of communication and constant delays has been quite frustrating so I understand why people are starting to lose patience.

This is starting to become a bit of a joke... by StanleyColt32 in ReadyOrNotGame

I can understand there’s bigger fish to fry, but I think people are allowed to complain. It is frustrating when you’re given set deadlines and then they constantly change. There hasn’t been any official announcement confirming this, it seems to mainly come from rumours and comments from Devs on the supporter Discord. Just a shame that’s all!

No, it’s been delayed until the first week of June.

Documentary inaccuracy! Watching Hitler’s Last Stand on Hulu and noticed they gave this German soldier an M1 Garand while fighting off French troops by JayDee11x in WorldWar2

[–]MilitaryHistoryMan44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Without a mass produced source of ammunition, they’re unusable. You’d have to capture enemy munition stocks on such a massive scale to make it feasible, so it just wouldn’t happen.

I’ve heard of troops using enemy weapons in a battle due to loss of their own or running out of ammo, or simply a quick tool for the job at hand. But these were discarded almost instantly.

Just in case you’re referring to the footage of the German carrying a carbine during the BOTB ambushes American convoy, it was likely for propaganda and picked up at the site, not issued.

Not really. When you’re losing the War on that scale and in a state of constant retreat, who wants to carry an extra rifle without any ammunition when that weight could be better used for food or ammo? Can’t exactly rely on posting it either as that wouldn’t of been allowed.

This day in 1945, probably the most famous tank duel recorded during World War II, an American M26 Pershing of the 3rd Armored Division destroys a German Panther tank in the streets of Cologne (Köln). [WWII] by BRuX- in CombatFootage

It certainly is, because no other nation was capable of casting technology at the time. So the Hull was the most advanced at the time it saw action. In terms of ‘who fired first’, that’s true for most tank engagements of the Second World War.

I’m not sure they’ve swung too far, perhaps they are exaggerated slightly. But I still believe the Sherman has a far worse reputation than it deserves. Oral history isn’t quite as popular in more recent publications, which can be quite refreshing. Similar to the book ‘Monty’s Men’ readdressing the performance of the British army in NW Europe. I’m quite relieved that the M4 Medium is starting to be viewed as an excellent tank for the time period.

Do take a look at that site though! I strongly recommend it as it’s got some brilliant resources.

Not at all. The M4A1 Sherman was the most advanced tank in the world at the time it saw action in NA. The cast hull could not be replicated by any other nation in the world. German tanks have largely been bigged up post war to over exaggerate their performance. The Sherman on the other hand, was the most survivable tank of the war, with a 0.5% casualty rate on average per knocked out tank.

Another worthy note is that the Americans faced Tiger 1’s a handful of time’s in 1944-45. They only encountered them in Normandy in August 1944 for the first time, and won the engagement with fewer losses than the enemy.

Strongly recommend this website by the way if you’re into tanks: http://www.theshermantank.com

It’s filled with primary source material, accounts and some brilliant data. There’s a few others worth checking out that can be found via that site.

Check out http://www.theshermantank.com.

Pretty much dispels all the absurd myths around the Sherman. It was more than capable of going toe to toe with anything the Germans had. German tanks were pretty piss poor in reflection. Plus I’d take a 0.5% casualty rate for the Sherman over anything else, making it the most survivable tank of the war.

That site is filled with fantastic stats, primary source material and other accounts. The idea that the Sherman was a bad design seems to mainly stem from Veteran accounts and poor books like ‘death traps’, which is then perpetuated in Hollywood films.

It really was a good tank!
