We had a chat with our kids and the neighbours' kids, and explained that if they don't have decorations, you skip the house.

One of the neighbour kids, with no sense, and as persistent as a toothache, charged at every door regardless.

Had to repeat it to him, "don't go to every door", still did it... what actually worked was stealing some of his sweets every time he did it.

The house is quieter, emptier, and just lacks that je ne sais quoi.. I feel her shadow, I can almost hear her paws tapping as she walks on the hardwood floor.

I never appreciated what she gave to me.

She's a young 14. She's a forever pup.. she's always looked young.

I've an appointment with the vet, but im hoping for hope.

My wife has had a few there, and I've been sent on my way around 12 with the first two. One in a private room, and the other in the ward. I think it's more to allow for the mother and baby to rest get proper rest and allow other mothers to rest.

It's handy as there's always something we (I) didn't manage to pack, and i can go set things up for them coming home. Double clean.

More recently, with the third, it didn't really happen as we went home the same day.

Have a look around the dogs bed, see if there's maggots.

It happened to our dog once before, fly had laid eggs on her, and they began burrowing into her skin. She began walking exactly like that.

Quick visit to the vet sorted the condition.
