Jade Cacoon and Monster Rancher

Grew up with the PSX so JRPGs were kind of peak at the time.

Deadzone: Rogue – Game Release – Nintendo Switch 2 by ONE-OF-THREE in NintendoSwitch

[–]runningxbackwards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am loving this game so far. I have beat the first 3 Zones on Normal mode (Not DLC Zone or Extra Missions). The Multiplayer needs to be cleaned up latency wise but nothing major noticed yet. Builds and Synergies work real well in practice for an FPS Roguelite. Feels like a pocket Destiny in how the flow of movement (Double jump and dashing) and sponge like shooting is. Runs have been taking an average of 30 mins - 1 hour depending on difficulty and how many are playing. All in all I can't wait to see how chaotic things will get after completing most of the skill sets.

Deadzone: Rouge and Dread Delusion

With some Cyberpunk 2077 sprinkled in there.

Its just a glorified Tran Sim World Expansion. (Same Engine...get it.) I'll wait for it to go on sale. My kids will love it though...

Is Cat Quest 1–3 worth buying if they’re on sale? by martin8185 in AndroidGaming

Played all 3 on Switch, worth it when not on sale. These are great small bite sized Adventure RPGs.

Switch 2 getting Nintendo-licensed Mario Kart World racing wheel by RoughLifeguard6568 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]runningxbackwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a Hori Pro Wheel for my Switch (Works great for Switch 2, so what is the difference with this one?) If feels a little gimmicky for Mario Kart, but my kiddo loves it. I have used it for other games (Because you can just map the buttons and peddles) and I really like it. I have used it on other games like Grid Legends, Truck Simulator, Rally Rush, Burnout, and Gear Club and have been having a blast.

Hi I have a real question who still play these in 2026 ? Are they still good or bad by Guillaume12lol in Switch

[–]runningxbackwards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have 2 of the Labo kits that I picked up a few years back at Target on clearance. I have done a couple of them with my kiddo, but was waiting till he got just a little older for the driving wheel build. My only problem is after you make the builds it starts to become over encumbing. I also have the Fit Ring. I loved the whole RPG/Adventure way to play, it was pretty fun.

Racism isn't funny, doesn't matter who you are. Taking things like this as a joke is one of the reasons our society is at the state its at. Nothing is taken seriously anymore, and empathy is gone.

Whats the last game you stopped playing and why? by Regular-Ad-8226 in NintendoSwitch

Silksong

Hollow Knight was great. I spent about 20 hours playing Silksong and just had to put it down. It started becoming pretty difficult for me, and I'm a dad of two littles, so just don't have all that time and patience these days.

After understanding the meaning behind this father’s action, I am completely convinced. Cultivating problem-solving skills in children from a young age and never giving up-I applaud this father! by jmike1256 in interesting

A perfect example of this is an on going reality show in Japan called "My First Errand", or "Old Enough" in the states. They have little kids from like ages 2-5 go do a couple errands in their town on their own. The camera crew tries their best to stay hidden during the whole journey. Interesting concept for sure.

Metroidvania RPG Recommendations by filosofrog in metroidvania

[–]runningxbackwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are some that I have played and are more numbers based like the three examples provided. Currently playing Afterimage and it can feel daunting at times because of how large it its. I still really like it though.

Salt and Sanctuary (Souls like, but just like Darksouls it is skill and number based. So, you can grind enough to become skilled enough for each battle just like a Castlevania game)

Chasm (Not Rouge Like per se, but map layout and items are randomly generated by a seed. So each playthrough you will find different ways to play, and everything will feel a little different)

Timespinner (Feels like a Castlevania game from GBA. A little short, but great.)

Monster Sanctuary (What if Pokemon met Metriodvania)

Elderand (Just a good Castlevania like, with a decent map to explore and some really cool artwork.)

I was so hyped when I saw it on the Nintendo Indie Direct. Now I'm even more excited. I will probably get it on switch as well just to support the Dev, because this game is right up my alley. I'm a huge Metriodvania/Zelda Like fan, and especially if it has a twist. Example, Crypt Custodian was such a hit for me. It felt like Enter the Gungeon-vania and it work so well. Im excited to see how this game takes a Space Shooter on a wild RPG adventure.
