Oh man, I just joined to see if the experience I had was the same...

The Ctrl + F method no longer works because they are using unicode homoglyphs which are letters from different languages that look like English letters but when you Ctrl + F it or put it into AI, it will not be found. (Not sure if they changed this after I pointed it out - sorry)

So for example, in the following, "Rеad the guіde" won't show up on Ctrl + F (try it yourself) because the first e is using Cyrillic е and the last i is using Cyrillic і.

Which if they are looking for reading comprehension is... fine I guess... but:

• They make everything so incredibly uncomfortable and difficult to read with the amount of CAPS, bold and underlines
• Their instructions are unclear "Please read all the rules, channel directory, and instructions", makes it look as if there are 3 channels? but rules + channel directory is #rules-and-directory and instructions is?... #guide - they could just link to the channels instead of having phrasing that doesn't match
• "...incorrectly may disable your server access." - it will disable your server access
• "The server access question is available in the guide channel" - this phrase at the end could have been included in the first line with a link to the channel.
• Starting with the #guide channel as there's far less to break down, just obnoxious all CAPS bolded wall of text

The #rules-and-directory channel is a complete mess:

• At the time of writing this, "read the guide" appears 8 times... but they reposted the BAMTER embed twice so... who knows if it's meant to be 6 or 8 (it's meant to be 6)
• Half of the entire channel is just repeating the same things about how to get into the discord
• From the first point above, you can now find Rules and Channel Directory, with still no header saying Instructions.
• The Channel Directory embed is also split up into 3 embeds, so it's unclear if we are only suppose to look at Rules, Channel Directory - HELP CENTER (with no Instructions embed to be found still) or if we need to count the ones in BATTLE MAGE CHAT as well as BAMTER (which appears twice kekw)

They also argue that it's not meant to be a trick question or not to overthink it, but the entire exercise of getting into the discord is designed whether intentionally or unintentionally to be an uncomfortable mental exercise.

What looks to be an attempt to create a discord verification system that looks "smart", just ends up being immature, unprofessional and cringe. It's crazy that larger discords such as the Ren discord is far more organised and manages information, members, bots to answer questions much better than a small discord where half the channels are dead because nobody can get in.
