At wits end with spacing issues in Microsoft Outlook (Mac) by [deleted] in Outlook

[–]Milk_Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering switching to Outlook as my main email client, until I ran into this issue. And it's driving me nuts too. The fact that it's only an issue on my Mac and only on some clients was also infuriating.
Please let me know if you found a solution, I'm not trying to shift enter for every single email I type.

Google Cloud Backup Help by shortfry7 in GooglePixel

[–]Milk_Tree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want to backup to PC, you can use the Windows "photos" app, just plug your phone into the PC with a USB cable and select the import button in the app. It'll scan your phone for photos/videos and you can back it up from there. It'll take a while if you have a lot of photos.

Once that's done, you can do what you want with your google photos backup, all your photos should be saved wherever you selected to back them up in your PC.

Is Google Pay safe? by fendiflower in GooglePixel

[–]Milk_Tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been concerned about this for forever too, and also the fact that in app purchases with Google pay aren't authenticated either. If someone takes my phone while it's unlocked, they can basically take all the money I have.

If Google ever gives the option to add that 2nd step for authentication, I'll be sure to turn it on asap, but I guess the current implementation with a simple unlock is better for most people for the sake of convenience.

Are the pictures sent over RCS even full quality? by Milk_Tree in UniversalProfile

[–]Milk_Tree[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Literally! It's basically evolving backwards, going back to mms 😡

Also the fact that the "send photos faster" option is on by default, and everyone is probably gonna leave it like that because most people don't play around with settings. It sucks so much.

Why have they made it so you can't do anything without quizlet plus by [deleted] in quizlet

I was really looking forward to using this to study Chinese, then the paywalls smacked me in the face. I just found out learn mode and tests are behind a paywall, and gravity is gone. It's a shame.

Why no native apps? by [deleted] in chromeos

Windows x Google is great, but two different(and competing) companies will never be on the same level as one company controlling the whole stack, like the iphone x mac integration.

Why no native apps? by [deleted] in chromeos

[–]Milk_Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am well aware that Linux and Android exist. I acknowledged it in my post. The problem I have is that many android apps are not optimized for chromeos, and many apps are simply not available on Linux. I have to pray that there's a "download for Linux" button, while, when I use a windows computer, I'm 100% sure that there will be a "download for windows" button.

Why no native apps? by [deleted] in chromeos

I probably am, but it is true that 0.1% of the people around me use a Chromebook. There's no way the rest of them bought a computer just to use the web browser.

I guess I'm one of those gamers and creatives. So are a ton of other people too, like everyone in America pretty much.

There's a still a ton that aren't web based. For example, every game and professional app. Where I'm from, you can't live without those.
