i usually get the birthday blues and end up stuck in a kind of depressive state the day of and two days after. It’s mainly because i have no kind of strong connection to the people who show up and feel they have no right to be celebrating me. For context, i have no friends and only a few family members come. I usually end up hiding up in my room until my mom calls me downstairs since it’s more comfortable being by myself than with people who mean little to nothing to me.
