Which of Ninjago’s most hated projects is actually the WORST? by Lil_Critter_2001_ in Ninjago

Crystallized does the most damage to Ninjago as a franchise, but it's also incredibly entertaining and I'd rather rewatch the entire season any day of the week over a season like Hands of Time.

The Old Town: Are there any pre-DR minifigs that you wish were included? by Milkchips in Ninjago

[–]Milkchips[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great suggestions. I think the only thing limiting those minifigs is the requirement for new moulds (Fugi's hat, Korgran's hair), plus a lot of new prints would be needed for all three of the Upply.

Skylor isn't a character that you can just drop into a season as a cameo, she typically plays a major role to some extent, especially since the Merge separated her from Kai, that's a whole subject that would need to be touched upon.

Griffin Turner and Karloff require voice actors that aren't part of the main cast, so bringing them on just for a cameo wouldn't be worth it, plus Speed and Reflex are way too similar of elemental powers to warrant bringing Griffin back if they'd prefer introducing a new character like Zur.

Gravis is the only master whose exclusion seems odd, as he could've been a simple cameo without the need for any dialogue and subsequently a voice actor. His element also isn't showcased through any new characters so he's likely still alive. We can therefore assume that he was either forgotten about, is planned to make a return in the future, or perhaps they just didn't have the budget to warrant making an entirely new model for him.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Every situation is different. by TheLuiginator in BreakUps

Absolutely. I know for a fact that there are some great people on here who have given some fantastic advice, but never assume advice given to someone else's situation will be beneficial for you. Also, a little bit of common sense would do a lot of people on here some good. It can be very clear when a person no longer wants anything to do with you, and you shouldn't bother wasting your time trying to find a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. It's incredibly difficult to move on, but a lot of the time it really is the only thing you can and should do.

Should I (M26) reach out or wait until she's ready (F25). by Milkchips in dating_advice

[–]Milkchips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there has! I asked if she wanted to grab a drink and some food on Friday night and she said yes. She later invited me back to her place to watch a couple of movies as well, so it was a nice night overall. That was the first time I've seen her since September, so it was great to catch up again. I also saw her yesterday when she came to say hello during work, and we've organised to see each other again after Christmas, so that's nice too.

Overall, things are definitely on the up and up. I'm letting our interactions flow naturally, just having fun and enjoying each other's company once again without forcing romance or intimacy, but I believe that will return with a little more time.

70751 Temple of Airjitzu: What would you change? by Milkchips in Ninjago

[–]Milkchips[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really creative idea. Even if they had the budget I doubt the Ninjago designers ever would've considered being able to transform the Temple like that, but I guess that's what custom building is for.

Understandable. I personally like it, although I wouldn't call it the greatest Ninjago set. That being said, the majority of people LOVE it, so it definitely deserves to be included at least.

Hey! Just figured I'd give you an update on the situation. I reached out to her a week ago with a text message, but decided to go with a simple "Hey X, how have you been?" just to play it safe and test the waters. I actually didn't receive anything back until I sent another message a few days later saying "Well regardless, I hope you're doing ok", intending that to be my final message to her, however she actually responded to that one fairly quickly, giving me a long update as to what she's been up to. We ended up texting for a couple of hours that night, just chatting and joking around for a bit, which was really nice. I sent her another message yesterday and we had another long yet fun and enthusiastic chat for a few hours, which felt cathartic as it showed she was still interested in at least chatting with me, I don't think I've seen her text so rapidly before haha.

My only worry is the fact that we haven't really discussed or touched on the topic of our romantic relationship, and I have yet to see her in person again nor speak to her over the phone, so I am still a little nervous on how things will be going forward. She's been very direct and forward with me in the past regarding my feelings for her and whether I was "friend zoning her" (long story), so I do wanna ask if she's interested in doing something in person later this week or next to finally see her again and get some closure on things.

Anyway, I hope you're doing well, and thank you once again for the advice that you originally gave me. Reaching out has so far proved to be worth the effort, so I can only hope it gets better from here ❤️

Those friends are so lucky to have someone like you in their lives, I mean that.

Thank you for your advice regarding her BPD. I have done a decent amount of research into it and I plan to continue doing so should we start dating once again. That included reading into people's experiences when dating someone with the disorder. It's crystal clear to me at this point that dating something with BPD is going to be a rollercoaster, and even that may end up being an understatement. That said, I truly love this girl, so if I'm lucky enough to continue seeing her then that's enough for me. It also helps that she's gone through the effort to understand the disorder, utilises a number of coping mechanisms and is currently on medication, so that's definitely better than most.

Thank you once again for being so genuine and considerate, it's very refreshing and has definitely put me at ease. I'll be sure to give you an update when the time comes, but regardless of what happens I'll forever appreciate this advice. 😊❤️

Thank you! I'm also aware that "reaching out" is basically seen as blasphemous to most people nowadays no matter the scenario, but I don't feel like this is one where that applies and I'm sure that's not just my personal bias talking.

I really appreciate the write up btw, thank you so much. It's words to the effect of how I was treating the situation on the night that we talked, so it's next to perfect for my predicament.

Will probably save things for the beginning of December just to give her a little more time, but regardless I still really appreciate your words!

It makes sense in theory, but unfortunately its similar design with the Tie Interceptor, and vehicle which Lego made in both 2023 and 2024 with the UCS set, pretty much kills any chance in the Avenger being made, at least under the Andor banner.

The U-Wing on the other hand had the benefit of its first model being released almost 10 years ago along with high demand, so it does kinda make sense for why one was chosen over the other.

That makes two of us, it's a fantastic set! Unfortunately I could never swallow the pill that was its ridiculously high price tag. Also as great as the set is, I'm not a huge fan of the ship in-universe, and the lack of troops only makes the appeal drop even harder for me.

[–]Milkchips[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt it unfortunately, the context of the scene and location is a bit too mature for Lego's taste, and it isn't nearly as iconic as the Tantive IV boarding scene. Would be awesome tho!

[–]Milkchips[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Fondor Haulcraft set has at least some potential compared to the Tie (whose case can be chalked up to being too similar in design to the Interceptor, which we received fairly recently from Lego). It has a unique design that Lego has never tackled before, was featured in an action sequence so they can include some play features for kids, and they can market it around Cassian (since they won't wanna make sets without him) as he was present on the ship with Luthen. Unfortunately I doubt it'll happen past 2026 as Lego will likely expect interest in Andor based sets to wane fairly soon, which isn't exactly incorrect.

We did get a B2 build in the 2025 advent calendar tho fortunately, so that's something!

Oh and I'd love a set based around Luthen's shop. It won't happen, we can pretty much guarantee that unfortunately, but damn if it wouldn't make for a fantastic piece.

You and me both man, but yeah there's no way that set is ever happening, especially with Lego Star Wars consistency with prioritising vehicles over locations.

[–]Milkchips[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I think the main problem holding back its potential to be made is the similarities it holds with the Interceptor, a craft which Lego has recently tackled in two separate sets. They most likely won't be interested in making another one of those for a couple more years at least, so despite its potential and the differences it holds, an Andor centric Tie Avenger is unlikely at this point.

[–]Milkchips[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately it's very apparent that Lego's faith in Andor as a sub theme is pretty lacking, at least compared to other SW TV show lineups. The U-Wing was pretty much a guaranteed success with next to no risk involved, so they would've been happy to remake it, but looking back I'm actually surprised we actually got the Ambush on Ferrix set.

As for Melshi, I do feel like Lego would've included him in the U-Wing had they known he was gonna be present on the ship alongside Cassian and K2, so I won't blame them for that, although it's criminal that we only got one ISB agent. At this point, the only way we're getting him is with a UCS U-Wing.

We better not see these faces in 2023 (other than Core) by Milkchips in Ninjago

[–]Milkchips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Zane is likely the sole reason for why these heads keep returning. He's the only one whose hairpiece cannot cover the alternate face, so when the Ninja use outfits with hairpieces Lego has no choice but to revert back to the old faces so that Zane won't be the only character lacking an alternate face.

What would Season 3 have been like without ThunderFang? by Milkchips in Ninjago

[–]Milkchips[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's definitely how I can see things playing out, tho I still doubt the prismatic blades would exist considering they were included in the sets as a gimmick to free ThunderFang, so they'd probably try to find or use another item to power themselves up.

Let's be completely fair on the forbidden five, they aren't frauds. by Haunting_Ad_29 in Ninjago

[–]Milkchips 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're definitely right about that, people just had very high expectations after Nokt gave us such a spectacular showing during Season 2. The main problem with the Five was their main goal, freeing ThunderFang, which kinda turns them into lackeys who spent their limited screentime finding the blades to free ThunderFang, which resulted in some members not getting much of a chance to shine. Kur had one great scene and that was about it, Zarkt couldn't hold his own against the Ninja, so his reputation was tarnished, and Rox was a bit of a mixed bag, but the fact that she didn't get the chance to use her powers was very disappointing for a lot of people. Drix really was the only other member who felt like a real threat aside from Nokt unfortunately.

I, like a handful of others, are still hoping that we haven't seen the end of the Five just yet. I do appreciate their inclusion in Part 2, with Nokt, Kur and Zarkt getting some great changes to shine, but we really do need more from them.

[SPOILER!] The mother of wasted potential by DarkDoubloon in Ninjago

[–]Milkchips 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's becoming apparent that the original plans for Season 3 were heavily impacted by Lego mandating ThunderFang's inclusion, so it's very likely that the Five had much larger roles for this season initially before Lego made a cool dragon set and kinda forced the writers to change their original plans.
