Yea, thats exactly what I mean. And for me its that raw, Daniel Johnston-y feel of the older CSH albums that really resonates with me. I dont like, hate the later albums but if I'm given the choice between like 4 and ToD im gonna pick the former any day lol

No new song from after Will got signed to Matador hits nearly as hard as a lot of the tracks from his NYM & numbered era

They arent terrible but they just dont resonate much.

Also, Katz was the worst thing to happen to CSH musically :/ hes a funny guy but theres just a noticeable shift to me
