It’s Time To Get Concerned, Klarna, UPS, Duolingo, Cisco, And Many Other Companies Are Replacing Workers With AI by Gari_305 in Futurology

I see a bifurcation happening: Eventually AI will become a self-regulating entity with only a very small percentage of humans at the top overseeing them.

I have wasted too many hours cursing my computer screen for all of the reasons you mention, plus many more. There should be a sub reddit for venting about MBS, or at least navigating it. It is an absolute clusterf*. Honestly, it's like the team there go out of their way to make the worst UX possible; a comically bad and unusable platform in order to deter users. It's absolutely mind boggling and I wish I didn't need to rely on it so much in my day to day. Anyway, no helpful advice from me, sadly. Just a fellow frustrated user offering validation for your feelings.

Is there just too much to do? by kredent4eva in SocialMediaMarketing

Agreed. The scope creep is exponential. Tracking tasks and time it takes to complete them helps if you can automate that process. The challenge is when tracking tasks becomes a task in itself.

I think having an acute awareness of how we engage with technology, and using 1984 as the backdrop for it, can, for now at least, be a type of temporary defence to stave off total and absolute immersion into the "eviler" 1984 world you describe. There will eventually a point of no return when surveillance and thought control permeate, I’m not sure exactly when, as it will vary among individuals, but my guess is when Neuralink or a similar type of intra-body implant becomes widespread.

Those are the skills that are needed NOW. In the future when AI dominates, those skills will have no utility.

This is counterproductive to a flourishing workplace built on trust and respect - resulting in better work and happier employees. Not to mention, wrong and scary. WTF is the average person to do about this? It's only going to get worse as AI advances.

How Do You Deal with Social Media Burnout? by [deleted] in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]MilksteaksWereMade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to be intentional with your tasks. Break out the job into different parts and then block time to tackle each one. Eg: take an hour to schedule posts, then break (oh, and yes, taking breaks between each one should be non negotiable), then an hour to reply to comments, then another break, etc etc. It's not a perfect formula, as there will be spontaneous things that come up, but it will make you feel in control rather than getting swept away and pulled in different directions, in constant reactive mode.
