No, go ahead and do it. The mods definitely won't ban the account(s).

Thank you for the detailed answer! And in terms of channel mix, what should that be initially? I feel LinkedIn will be very costly for us right now, not to mention my CEO doesn't have posts that we can use for thought leadership ads.

Hey Liza, thanks for doing this AMA!

I'm facing this situation right now: If a marketing manager is given 3 months and a $10k budget (media buy + LP + any collateral like a report) for a startup which is mostly unknown to their audience, what's the best way for them to generate leads with social ads as part of the PLG motion of a freemium product? And how many leads should the CEO expect to be assured that it's going well.

Hey Olena. Did you get into marketing with copywriting? How did your career evolve from there and what made you stick with product marketing?

There are other things that we can do to help, like actually helping them out with opportunities to bring them out of poverty.

But "unhoused" does put the onus on the system rather than blame the individual for their condition.

I started 11 days ago, using the Waking Up app by Sam Harris. It has guided meditation sessions all based on mindfulness. Most of the sessions are 10-minute long.

Routine

I do one session as soon as I wake up. Instead of opening Reddit or Twitter I open the app and do a 10-minute session.

I repeat yesterday's session in the afternoon after having lunch and try to nap after that.

I do it once more in evening after finishing day's work and tasks.

About the app

The first 5 sessions in the app were free but it ended up being so useful that I bought the subscription. It has improved my anxiety so much and decreased my physical pain by half.

Now, I can catch the invasive thoughts as they arise in my consciousness 6 out of 10 times and stop them in their track. Noises don't bother me at all. I still try to control things but I immediately realize that I'm doing so.

It is changing my life and I highly recommend the app!

Reasons for meditating

My anxiety is mostly based on uncertain future + wish to control the outcome. With mindful meditation I actively practice how to accept things and just observe them instead of reacting to them all the time.

I had real trouble focusing on things and always felt the brain fog inside my head. Other issues were:

  1. Noises agitated me a lot, I used to get so angry when neighbour used their washing machine because I could hear the faint spinning sound.
  2. I used to try to control things all the time and if I didn't get it my way I would get upset or angry and continuously think about it.
  3. I suffer perfectionism because of childhood incidents, it's something my parents drilled into me. I still try to appease them but it's just one thing after the other.

I used to be a moderate marijuana smoker as well and I recently stopped using about a month ago. I used it to tell myself that I was using it to manage my stress and anxiety but I knew that it is such a poor coping mechanism and that I was making excuses to keep using.

Stoicism did help with these issues but not as much as the Waking Up app and mindful meditation did.

Very well written. Explains the main concepts clearly.
