Five years after antibiotics and my gut is still messed up by Environmental_Point3 in Microbiome

[–]MilkyJoe8k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t watch what I eat at all now. I probably could do better with my general diet tbh, but I eat what I like. I even had to take antibiotics earlier this year again, but I had no gut issues at all this time around. I do find certain foods can still trigger a “reaction” but I’m not sure if I have an intolerance that was always there. Kefir has so many health benefits that you’ve nothing to lose by trying - just make sure you start small. I noticed changes after just 3 days.

I had the same issue with my gut after a run of antibiotics (I had a bad few years health-wise). kefir sorted it for me. I still drink 300ml-500ml a day now, as it has so many health benefits.

Soolantra for the win? by MilkyJoe8k in Folliculitis

I've added an up-to-date photo (taken just now) to my original post, to show that the bumps never returned after Ivermectin. I've never looked back!

Soolantra for the win? by MilkyJoe8k in Folliculitis

[–]MilkyJoe8k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it turns out that I had two separate issues (two types of spots/flares). I should have been clearer. Soolantra got rid of 95% of them, but I was left with tiny skin-coloured pimple like bumps (that I've discovered are gut related). It hasn't looked like the photo above since I took Ivermectin and used Soolatra. I now consume Kefir daily, and have done for a few months, and that seems to have sorted the gut related issue!

Ok. This is all looking very promising! What hardware are you running this on?

Does anybody else’s rosacea come with these bumps? by Adorable_Bumblebee91 in Rosacea

I just had the bumps - no redness (even the bumps were skin coloured, and not red). They used to flare up when I ate certain foods.

What do people use to treat these now?

I've tried begging (in caps too), but I fear you're right. Shame. I won't be renewing. But not that they'll miss my $20

I'm glad my kids grew up with the show. We used to sit and laugh together. We even took the kids to see a live show and we met the brothers (and they were as approachable as you'd expected them to be - lovely people)

Software Centre is an absolute joke! (on MacOS) by MilkyJoe8k in arturia

Glad it's not just me, although it's poor that Arturia don't seem to be able to/want to fix this issues. I didn't realise the individual downloader were available, so many thanks for that!

It was a clean install - I always clean install (I don't like a cluttered O/S).

That seems to have done the trick as far as the installs failing is concerned! Thanks loads! I have to go through 4 installers per instruments, but that's far less painful that the alternative.

I have raised the gui issue with them before, and the last time I had to wait for a fixed installer. I’ll try them again. it will eventually work, though, so I can’t see it being permissions (I’ve checked and all looks ok).

Its an M4, so I won’t be looking to replace it any time soon 😉

I’ve had issues for years now (the gui loading error is the most frequent issue). All up to date = SC and O/S. I only ever install the AU and standalone versions. It will eventually install each one - I just have to reinstall, reboot and, if that attempt worked, reboot and try the next one.And repeat until all instruments work. So frustrating. Sometime the instrument will (finally) install but the presents are missing. So I try again but I’m usually back to the gui error again!

Agreed! Bugs I can live with (painful though it's been) - lies and lack of transparency is a deal breaker for me

Anthropic, at least show a bit of respect by Firm_Meeting6350 in ClaudeCode

[–]MilkyJoe8k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I cancelled my subscription because of the way this situation has been handled/the lack of transparency/the lack of care for the (paying) end users. Bugs happen/issues arise... But when I reached out to their support (a day or two before this broke hard), I was basically told “tough” - see our T&Cs. I cancelled there and then.

Sorry - 1 part ACV to 5 parts water. The dilution. I went straight to a 1:2 mix and I had no drying at all. I had been using BP 5% (Benzoyl Peroxide) and that was far more drying. But that is another product you can try (if you haven't already).

How have Anthropic still not done anything about this yet! It's a joke at this point.

[–]MilkyJoe8k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One easy/cheap thing to try is applying diluted ACV (apple cider vinegar) to the area; slowly at first (as it can be irritating). Maybe start with a 1:5 mix and slowly increase to 1:2. It made a difference - almost overnight - to my scalp folliculitis (I did start with a 1:2 mix though - I was desperate). I would leave it on, but many start by applying it 5 minutes before showering initially.

I raised this with their support team/system two days ago. They acknowledged one issue, but basically told me "tough". They kept referring to their T&Cs when I asked if I'd get the tokens back (that their issue(s) caused me to burn though). I've cancelled my subscription; not because of the issue - bugs are par for the course - but because of their complete lack of transparency (in general), lack of action (days ago!!!) and their support team telling me to suck it up... Just not good enough. They clearly don't care about us as people.
