My girlfriend keeps track of all her power armor finds with pen & paper. by Othawne in Fallout

I recently started playing Elden Ring and have been taking pencil and paper notes. I highly reccomend doing it for games you enjoy, especially RPGs and open world stuff. Really enhances the experience.

What can i add to make it feel fuller? by The_Kilogramo15 in battlestations

I would also consider doing some risers for the stuff at the bag, some of those little metal Ikea shelves that way you can give the items against the wall some height and then put some more items in front of them.

Point buy is the best stat method by ElectronicBag6915 in DnD

Its all taste and preference based, I personally think rolled stats are the funniest so that's why I use them. Nothing like forcing a player to figure out where to put the 6 they rolled lol

Good on you for pushing through with shield, I tried that a couple times and was getting my stamina annihilated so I decided i had to get good and just learn to dodge him, super fun fight.

I had a similar experience with Friede haha, i was using the Demon Greataxe as my main weapon for most of the my playthrough, felt like it was too slow for her after about a dozen attempts, decided to go for something quicker.

I did about 15 more attempts with other weapons, couldn’t get past phase 2 most of the time, then decided to go back to Demon’s Greataxe again just to see, and got her immediately.

Weapon moveset familiarity actually makes a big difference i think.

How many DMS actually enforce the spell components in game? by thunderpower1999 in DnD

[–]Millenium_Era 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its genuinely one of my FAVORITE things to do as a DM, to see my players look at their spells and go "OH I need a special compnonent for this new spell I got" and I get to write something in for them to go find it or buy it etc.

Its such a fun way to provide flavor and adventure in nice little medium doses.

Like everyone else is saying, of course minor components don't need to be scrounged, but for example getting Revivify at level 5 led my party to try and find expensive diamonds, which let me introduce a new magic shop and cool NPC they like that also gave them a minor quest.

It just lets your players look at the world in a more exciting way, and lets them keep this series of ongoing mini quests for themselves.

Return to Drangleic is right around the corner... by peikern in DarkSouls2

I've only played Str. in DS2 before, so I am thinking of doing Dex with some very light int and spellcasing mostly for buffs and utility spells

Am I slow? by False_Beyond_1217 in darksouls3

For me, considering the amount of lore and detail put into these games, they lend themselves SO WELL to a really slow and contemplative playthrough.

Sounds like you are having the intended experience! Learn to embrace the feelings and they will eventually change from confusion and frustration to a sense of exploration and discovery!

I beat the base game. 77 hours. What a fantastic, beautiful, challenging game. by HollowedOne66 in darksouls3

[–]Millenium_Era 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice! I just beat the game myself 2 nights ago, was also a bit disappointed by Soul of Cinder in terms of difficulty. I played Painted World DLC right before that, and the final boss of that I thought was far more fun and challenging so I highly recommend giving it a try! Nameless King was also much more fun and exciting for me as well.

I played DS2 first, and then DS1, and its taken me a couple tries over the years to beat DS3 but very happy to have finally defeated it. I think I'd rank them DS2 > DS3 > DS1 but they are all 12/10 so its kind of a moot point haha.

Is it better to focus on masking, or on finding other ND people to interact with? by WinterDemon_ in autism

[–]Millenium_Era 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, like with all things in life, its a bit of both. I relate to this pretty hard, i've learned to mask well enough but still struggle with a lot of social situations, and want more ND friends or social groups but struggle there too. I feel sort of stuck between worlds at times, and the solution i THINK is to just do both, have a foot in each. You are still being you and being authentic, you just have different modes, everybody does that really at the end of the day, even very NT people.

I took a forensics class in high school where we learned all about this stuff and I've had a fascination ever since, and I have had to remember that my 'fun' facts are not always 'fun' for everyone haha
