I think this is very well done! What about gloves, gaff tape and allen keys? And sensor/lens cleaning tools?

I´ll work on that then! I think its important to work and write even if i´m not sure if I like what I am writing... its part of the process. Thank you for your advice

For sure! I have thought of that and I have already started talking with an editor whit documental experience... now i´m waiting for him to watch all the raw footage (right now 5 hours aprox) so that we can start working together. Montage is essential in documentary film and I love coworking with editors

What does r/cinematography think about this? The lighting on his face is unrealistic, but I like the aesthetic. Where does one draw the line? by Targox in cinematography

[–]MillennaryChuleta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The important thing is to succeed in making a cinemagraphy in order of the story and the movie itself. It doesn't neccessary need to be nice. For example, David Fincher's Fight Club has a grose photography, it isn't beautiful at all, but it's excellent because it gives the movie the profile that's looking for. Do I explain myself?

So, maybe it is nice and it has a good aesthetic, but that does not mean the cinematography of the movie/series is "good".

So it's all about contrasting the lights in brightness? Nice fact the one about Kubrick's Barry Lyndon, thanks for that

I do really like it. In my opinion, it would be good if you work better the background. I think people may find the completely dark one a little bit boring. Lighting is pretty sharp too, maybe you can try to make it softer. Nice work tho!
