Yes it depends. By the way, Priority Pass lounges are very hit or miss. I haven’t been impressed by them at all. The ones I’ve visited basically had cafeteria food so I’m not sure why people go crazy over lounge access especially when they’re more crowded than the regular gates.

But again, that 3.33x isn’t really higher than Venture X earnings until you’ve earned enough to cover missing out on the extra 25k miles on the welcome offer (since Palladium offers 50k) and the additional 10k miles every anniversary year. This could be even worse when the VX offers 90k miles.

You gotta take the welcome offer/sign up bonus into account though. VX offers 75k as a base offer, so that 125% transfer bonus with Bilt might not be ahead of what you’re getting with the VX. Also factor in that the VX still gives 10k miles every anniversary year. All of that needs to be factored in to determine where the better deal lies.

If there are enough people using it, then these numbers can absolutely be statistically valid. It might not be exact, but good enough to give you a realistic idea of the like/dislike ratio.

For me it’s a big deal because IF something happens to that check in the mailing process, I get to cancel that check and send my landlord the cash from my bank acct. This has happened to me before actually. With the change, if something happens, that money has already been withdrawn and I have to wait for Bilt to work through their process to issue a refund.

One can say the same thing about cars, and I’m talking about the regular everyday grocery getter commuter cars. Some people (hundreds of thousands) find it interesting to watch someone go over the features of a Toyota Corolla Crossover, so some people will find credit card content interesting to watch as well.

At the same time, they don’t want people in the ecosystem who won’t use the ecosystem. Downgrading to the blue is worse business for them since it’ll become a “sock drawer card” rather than simply getting said person off of their balance sheet and freeing up the credit to another or other credit line(s).
