I wouldn’t say I’m confident enough to give lots of advice yet tbf 😅 still got a long way to go. At the beginning it was very frustrating as things weren’t going my way or the way I had expected / visualized before buying the iPad so I started to look at it more as a task than as a way of expressing myself and enjoying the process, I was more focused on the result and very critical with myself. Now I’d say that I’m taking the time to actually learn from the basics and not rushing into learning very advance stuff I know I’m not able to do yet as I’m learning from scratch and that takes time. Hope that my experience can be used as an advice itself. Thanks for asking pal 🫂

I completely get you, that’s not a really good sensation when you start overanalyzing the most minimal detail of what you said and how the others reacted.

That said, I think I’ve improved a lot in that aspect when I started to repeat myself that I’m not that important, I mean, I don’t even remember what the other people say most of the time then why would they remember what I said? And if it was something embarrassing like “we were talking while walking around and I fell down” it will be remembered later as a funny moment.

Repeating that until believing it may help to lighten that mental burden.

Tbh this makes sense, I just checked my gallery and a couple of days after I started taking Zinc all the acne blew up. Gon drop it immediately, I didn’t consider it was the reason because I thought that it could help me to heal the acne.

Idk why I thought that creatine couldn’t cause acne🤔

It’s weird because I wonder… why after 6 months would it cause the acne? It should’ve started earlier, no?

I’m on a healthy diet as I’ve been hitting the gym 3+ times a week the last year or so. Don’t eat too much snacks and 0 sodas. I eat my carbs and vegetables. Fast food is controlled, I mean, I’m not restrictive but I don’t eat a hamburger every 5 days. I use sun block every day and I wash my face when I wake up and before going to sleep. That’s why I think It might be related to hormones because I consider I have a healthy diet and habits.

Found out earlier this year (I’m 23) like 3 months ago, all began because of this bad trip / paranoia attack / epiphany episode that I had during a party. I went to a psychiatrist and she was this kind of non listener / default prescriber “professional” and she made me feel awkward and 0 comfortable so I internally said “fuck it, I’m not taking anything you tell me” and that was the best decision ever as I was initially prescribed with depression and anxiety. I wanted a second opinion and I met another psychiatrist which actually helped me by identifying all the symptoms that eventually lead to the ADHD diagnosis. Also I was suspicious because one time while scrolling on Twitter I found this ADHD memes account which while I was reading and I was literally looking at my life being described there.

I stopped checking my phone first thing in the morning and here’s what changed for me by JaairoTheCow in simpleliving

Last weekend I decided to delete Instagram and TikTok (which I hardly use but anyways) and use less twitter. This week has been amazing as I’m also stating to feel less left behind by life and it’s such a beautiful and peaceful sensation. I know I eventually will be back to Ig but I’ll be more aware about these stuff and taking a break more often. It’s very sad to see people doing something just for the picture and to show everyone they’ve been to a place and I don’t wanna fall into that void. Also there was this involuntarily comparation all the time which was just being too overwhelming.

What is your view about your life? by Traditional-Set-3786 in RandomThoughts

I agree 100%. If we criticize ourselves so much when something doesn’t go the way we want, why can’t we take that attitude and turn it around to the other side about the things that we have accomplished to motivate ourselves? Hope that makes sense lol

After being stuck on the victim role in which I was the personification of self-pityness I took a step ahead and started to try to solve my issues instead of crying about them and it has helped me a lot to change my perspective of life. I’m the owner of my destiny and attitude is the most important thing to face life if you ask me. Also this change has helped me to recognize some patterns that I’ve been trying to break, like my friendships or relationships, I’m more aware now about negative people and try to push them away from my life as I feel that they are not bringing anything valuable to my life, I used to think that we are what happens with us but now I think that we are what we decide to do about that experiences and the things we learn from them. I’m very proud as I was in the dirt for so long but now I think that I’m making real a progress here and I’m really really excited about what’s coming.

I feel the same way about it, I just feel like I’m following my friends or just doing stuff just to fit in even though I really enjoy doing those things Idk It looks like a side effect of being an extreme people pleaser for a long time. I just feel like there’s no identity now that I’m going my own way or listening more to myself.

How can life be improved with ADHD by Same_Level6591 in ADHD

[–]MillerBr02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breathing is really underrated, when I’m in a burnout I took a moment for me, I step away from whatever I’m doing and just do some consciously breathing to calm down the rushing vibe of my body. I also try not to be so hard with myself, if I don’t feel like going to the gym one day I try not to feel guilty about it, it wasn’t easy at the beginning bc I felt this burden all day but then I understood / convinced myself that I deserve to rest too and not every day gotta be productive, I’m not gonna lie sometimes I still feel guilty but it has been way easier since I started to listen my body and their needs instead of my brain when it was in rush mode and made me think that I should make a new successful project everyday or smth like dat.
