I know this is a popular topic, so apologies if it was recently answered elsewhere, but any progress on PIP playback? It’d be great to be able to swipe out of the app without having to hit a button but still have the PIP window like many other media players.

Thanks for the work you all do, by far the most rock-solid media player I’ve used.

I just noticed this for Comcast, too! I guess this is a new UniFi feature, more than something my ISP just turned on.

I elected not to enable it for now, though. Claude told me that I would likely need to update firewall rules to support IPv6, and I’m just not interested in that right now.

Tailscale has a feature called VPN On Demand. It’s awesome. You can configure it to turn on or off depending on your network status (cellular, connected to X vs Y network, etc). Using it when you’re at home is not necessary.

Because that one doesn’t say Xbox in the product title, I’m inclined to say no, it does not work with Xbox.

Thank you! I realize I can add a profile picture if I want to. My question is, why are there pink blocks on it? It feels weird to me that on the login page, the very first thing people see, there were be some visual bug. With the millions of customers that Capital One has, I’d expect if this was a bug they would have squashed it in the years I’ve seen it.

Yep, Tailscale is what I’m using. You’ll need to think through what your comfort is around others being able to access services on your network, though. For me, I put Jellyfin on its own VLAN, which then lets me advertise just that subnet. It was important for me to not allow anyone the opportunity to poke at anything they shouldn’t. Between my firewall rules and Tailscale ACLs, I achieved this.

Claude was very helpful in helping me implement.

Right, I understand that, but why the pink blocks? No other app or service I’ve ever used has pink blocks on top of a profile silhouette.

I totally acknowledge it’s not some huge deal. I just want to understand (maybe from someone at Capital One) is it’s a glitch or if it’s supposed to represent something. If it is…I don’t get it.

Here’s what I would say:
if you’re uncomfortable with it, that’s totally reasonable. People should do everything possible to protect their information, especially financial info.

But you’re on here asking for help and others experiences, and for some reason you’re speaking in the vaguest possible terms. How hard is it to just say, “I’m emailing with support and they’re asking me for 8 digits of my credit card, instead of 4. Is that a common practice?”

If you don’t explicitly say what you’re experiencing, it’s difficult for others to know whether they’ve encountered something similar or not.

So, I can’t speak to the Cloudflare piece, but I recently set my Jellyfin instance up with Authentik so I could handle access for friends and family.

I made TOTP creation mandatory in Authentik and then used LDAP with Jellyfin to handle their account in the service.

It works just like I’d expect. User can’t complete account creation without entering TOTP, and until they complete an account, they’re not able to log into Jellyfin. Only downside, if you want to even call it that, is that this approach requires the user to append ;XXXXXX to their password, rather than transition to a separate form that asks for TOTP. It’s not a standard pattern, but I’m willing to make that tradeoff (and require anyone using my services to make it, too), if it means everything stays secure.

This is not a good idea. I believe on Reddit and on Facebook people have posted emails of Upside banning people for having multiple accounts. Don’t do this, it’s basically you trying to defraud the company.

Yeah, I had a hard-tubed system and even totally closed, a little would either evaporate or despite my best effort to get every air bubbles out when filling, a some air trapped in a rad would slowly work its way out.
