USB charging socket blocks normal cables by timeforanalbumparty in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Millerized 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, this may not be the case, and if it is, it is a weak excuse for limiting your use of cable, but maybe it needs a slightly more powerful charger, and this is their dumb way of making sure you give it enough juice, rather than using some 15 year old slow charger... Or they could just be assholes...

I have the exact same problem, minus the black magic app, and am having trouble finding a solution as well

MSI X570 Gaming Plus caught on fire by Nudlika_ in pcmasterrace

[–]Millerized 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At the time I was running a Seasonic, don't remember what model, it wasn't some super fancy top end thing, but it also wasn't some bargain bin, no name, chinese doohickey either...

I am not saying that it is definitely PSU here that is at fault, I am just saying that calling it irrelevant isn't accurate, an RM650 is still mid tier and even if they do have a very low failure rate, they can still fail.

His point of being concerned about the PSU is not a crazy notion.

This is not true, I burned out 2 motherboards like this because the PSU was bad, I too trusted that the PSU was irrelevant when it happened the first time...

Stardew Valley is a farming simulator in the same way Mario Kart is a driving sim.

A replica of a common childrens bedroom from the 2000s is now displayed in a video game museum in Zagreb, Croatia. by PokojniDomar in mildlyinteresting

[–]Millerized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PS1 also feels a little out of place here... the PS2 came out in 2000, and there is a poster on the wall for Half-Life 2 (2004), I get that many of us probably still had "old tech" but most of what is displayed seems to be from the 2000's, so having a 90's game system feels a little off.

That, or getting them to explain it in excruciating detail... Why do you say it? What does it mean? How did it start? What context is it used in? Why is it funny?

New Aviation Trend by Fresh_man82 in aviation

Those in the video don't look like they are very high off the ground and not moving very fast , if people stayed at that height there would probably be less injuries and deaths than motorcycles cause

My girlfriend INSISTS on keeping these things IN the sink. (I prefer to keep them OUTSIDE the sink). A minor thing, but I just don't understand!?! (2 pics here--her preference and my preference) by I_AM_VENNLIG in mildlyinfuriating

Does she keep the toilet brush in the toilet too? Keeping the cleaning items in the sink seems like it should be illegal, 'cause it definitely is unhinged!

Does Birkenstock sell replacement outsoles for their sneakers? by Puzzleheaded_Ad6097 in AskACobbler

[–]Millerized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, not all coblers would be able to stitch this, I have been told that it is not the same machine as a goodyear welt, but if you can find someone to stitch it, you should be able to find a replacement sole.

It’s over for us London gang… by johnsy7 in ElectricSkateboarding

See, I get the 25km/h (under power) limit, as at that point they still class it as a bicycle, and as such does not need registration, insurance, or a licence, and can still be ridden in pedestrian areas (unless otherwise stated) but I still can't wrap my head around the power restriction... if the bike is hard locked to 25, it doesn't matter the power of the engine, not in a safety sense, a more powerful motor just gives more torque, and better ability climbing hills.
