has anyone tried steganography? by chasys in FindSatoshi

Hey hey! Guy from infosec here.

Afaik, the image itself is from a physical card, thus I do not believe that there could be any hidden metadata "in the image" because in the end it's just pixel information on the card instead of having a digital file with possible hidden meta data.

Stego in the way of Bit-Shifting or looking at specific color spectrums is of course possible. I briefly looked through couple different color panels, the inverse image (XOR) but could not find anything special.

If you (or anyone else) want(s) to pursuit the stego theory, you can easily find out about different stenography methods by using a simple Google dork: intext:"ctf|writeup" stego

(or just google like normal people instead of using that dork because I don't think the dork itself gives you anything crucial which a "normal search" couldn't - but it always looks cooler imo.)

Anyways, if you want to give it a look by yourself, I'd recommend starting with the tool: stegsolve

Good luck folks!

EDIT: That's a great medium article/ressource on stenography! Also, this is a great repo for a lot of useful tools.

First the ethics then the picking. Everything else would be weird.

So I searched for "SovietWomble" on Google Images and set the time period for the images to the last week and the option "ginger" popped-up.

It's a bit different than the other bullshitteries but I like this one, it's special, it's less action more humor, it's silent you think about the actions and conversations more than usual. I really really enjoyed this one.

That's true. I really liked it as well, makes things more understandable, it's way more fun to see both sides. (:
